Hello, dear visitors of my blog. Looks like I'm finally hooked on children's summer hats. Knitting them is very interesting, exciting and fun. You never know what you'll end up with in the end.
This one crochet hat I knitted it in a couple of hours, there is nothing complicated about it, and the most important thing is that it looks attractive and elegant. Is not it?
How to crochet a summer baby hat?
For knitting you need:
- Yarn Rose (Vita cotton), 100% cotton double mercerization, beige color (60-70 grams)
- Yarn Rose, white, for a flower
- Hook No. 3.5
- Bead
Description of work
Age 4-5 years.
We take beige threads and a hook No. 3.5 (at first I knitted baby hat crochet No. 2, but the product seemed very dense and heavy to me, so I changed hook No. 2 to No. 3.5)
We collect a chain of 6 vp.
1st row: 1 vp, 11, connecting column
2nd row: 3 ch, in the same base 1 double crochet, then in each single crochet 2 double crochets. This makes 24 double crochets. We finish with a connecting post.
3rd row: 3 ch, between double crochets of the previous row. Next *1 chain stitch, 2 double crochets between the double crochets of the previous row*. Repeat from * to *. At the end there is a connecting post.
4th row: 3 v.p. for lifting, 1 chain crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 chain crochet, *1 double crochet, 1 chain crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 chain crochet*.Repeat from * to *. We finish with a connecting post.
5-6 row: 3 ch. for lifting, 1 double crochet, 1 ch, 2 double crochets, 1 chain, *2 double crochets, 1 chain, 2 double crochets, 1 chain*. Repeat from *to*.same arch
7th row: 3 ch, 1 double crochet, 1 chain crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 ch, *2 double crochet, 1 chain crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 ch*. Repeat from * to *.
8-9 row: 3 ch, 2 double crochets, 1 ch, 3 double crochets, 2 double crochets, * 3 double crochets in the arch, 1 ch, 3 double crochets yarn over in the same arch, 2 ch*. Repeat from * to *.
10-12 row: 4 ch, for lifting, 2 double crochets, 1 chain stitch, 3, 2 ch, *3 double crochets, 1 ch, 3 double crochets , 2 ch*. Repeat from * to *.
13-15 row: 4 ch, 3 double crochets, 2 ch, 4 double crochets, 2 ch, * 4 double crochets, 2 ch, 4 double crochets with two double crochets, 2 ch*. Repeat from * to *. We finish with a connecting post.

For knitting, it is recommended to use natural threads: cotton, linen, silk and hooks No. 2 or 2.5. The diameter of the cap is very easy to calculate by dividing the head circumference by 3.14.
Women's hat with a fan pattern
To knit this stylish and lightweight hat for women you will need white cotton threads and a hook.
To begin, we cast on a chain of 10 chain stitches and close the circle with a connecting post. For the first row we knit 3 stitches for lifting, then 19 double crochets into the loops of the ring. In the second row: 3 loops for lifting, 1 more chain loop, for each column of the first row we knit 1 stitch with a naikd + 1 chain loop.
Knitting the third row is the same as in the second row, but instead of 1 air loop, we add two between the columns. In the fourth row, in each double crochet and ara from 2 loops of the third row, we knit a double crochet + 1 chain stitch.
In the fifth and sixth rows, knitting also begins with 3 stitches for lifting, then over the two double crochets of the row below we knit a double crochet, then a chain stitch. Crochet summer hat for girls
Description of this model for girls is suitable for a head circumference of 50 cm. You will need mixed yarn (cotton with viscose 50:50, 430m/100g) and hooks No. 2.5, 1.5.
At the beginning of knitting we work with crochet number 2.5, folding the thread into a ring. In the first row we tie the ring like this: 3 chain stitches, 11 double crochets, close the circle with a connecting loop. Carefully tighten the ring of thread to its opposite end. We begin knitting according to the pattern. We repeat the last 2 rows of the pattern until the cap reaches the desired depth.
Description of the pattern: In the third row we knit 4 double crochets under each chain loop, in the 5th row - 3 double crochets under each chain loop, in the 7th row - 3 double crochets under each chain, in the 9th row - 2 double crochets. In the 11th row, we alternate knitting 3 and 2 double crochets under a chain loop. All odd rows further: 2 double crochets under a chain loop.
Using a smaller hook, we tie the edges of the cap with single crochets for 5 rows (blue and white). We decorate the finished product with a flower.
We knit a flower: we make a chain of 39 chain stitches. In the second row, we knit 2 double crochets into each loop. In the third row: *skip 2 loops at the beginning of the row, knit in the third row (double crochet, chain stitch - repeat 7 times), skip 2 loops again, knit a single crochet*, repeat rapport between *_*. In the fourth row we tie the workpiece with air loops, making 3 loops between the posts. We roll the flower in a spiral and sew it on.
Crocheted cap for a boy
Openwork caps in men's styles are most often knitted for children and teenagers. To work, you will need natural cotton yarn (106m/50g) of approximately 50 g each in white and gray colors, hook No. 2 and a button.
We start knitting from the top of the head in a circle with white threads according to the pattern. We tie the cap with gray threads in four rows of single crochets.
Our hat will have a visor; for it we knit 40 single crochets in the front in the middle. Then we knit 8 purl odd rows, using single crochets for the entire visor. Even rows: we tie the odd rows with a second layer to make a very tight knit.
We make decreases in odd rows: 1 column on each side. At the end, we tie the visor with single crochets in a circle. We tie a button with gray thread and sew it to the top of the head. The boys' hat is ready!
Crochet hat for newborn
To knit a hat you will need about 50 g of natural cotton threads of any light shade and a crochet hook No. 2. For edging, you can use a little brighter yarn. The girth of a newborn's head is usually 35-37 cm, but to be safe, it is better to measure it before starting work.
We start knitting from the back of the head, casting on 5 air loops and connecting them into a ring. In the first row we knit 16 double crochets, in the second row we knit 2 more double crochets into each column of the previous row. From the 3rd to the 21st row we knit according to the pattern.
We finish the pattern on the 22nd row, tie the bottom edge of the hat for newborns with single crochets for 1 row, then with double crochets for another 1 row. After this, we knit 4 more rows of the pattern according to the patterns, and insert a ribbon into the bottom row of the cap.
