The book is divided into two parts. This is part one.

Classic. A completely negative guy and a sickeningly positive girl. Everyone is afraid of him, naturally except her, no one is interested in him, naturally except her. And one fine day, he kissed her. Yes, I chose such a good time. Just enough to run into her parents... Well, we need to get out of the situation somehow. And what's there... "He's my boyfriend!" - the girl said and rushed off.

Vlad is a rude and impudent guy, a local bully. Everyone is afraid of him and tries to stay away from him. At the same time, he is very mysterious and enigmatic.
Katya is a simple girl, unremarkable in anything. I went to college. She is modest and quiet, she sees the world in bright colors, but also with her own certain quirks.
What happens when two completely different worlds collide?

The most ordinary girl and the two most prominent guys of the institute. What do they have in common? They decided to play with her... Is this a familiar situation? What if this girl knows the rules of the Game and decided to set her own?

ATTENTION!!! To avoid misunderstandings, this book is about M/F/M relationships! Thank you so much for the cover by Eco Devilson.

You don’t need to go far: history knows a lot of books that balance on the line between erotica and pornography, while being distinguished by greater artistic value and beauty of presentation. Reading Nabokov, Adairou, Maupassant or Brückner, you will get much more aesthetic pleasure than when you meet a book by Erica James, and the film adaptations of these time-tested books will last you at least a couple of months of passionate film viewing.

Erotic novels: films and books

"Lolita", 1955

Author of the book: Vladimir Nabokov
Film adaptations: 1962 (Adrian Lyne) and 1997 (Stanley Kubrick)

For a long time, this novel, written by Vladimir Nabokov in the USA, was considered pornographic and was banned. The book gained enormous popularity in the West, was included in the list of the 100 best novels in history according to Time magazine, and was also filmed twice: it was transferred to the screens by directors Stanley Kubrick and Adrian Lyne.

Over 2,500 actresses were in contention for the role of Lolita in Adrian Lyne's film, including Christina Ricci and Natalie Portman. The latter was approved by the director, but was forced to refuse: Natalie Portman’s parents did not agree to filming explicit scenes with her participation.

Lolita by Adrian Lyne

Nabokov's plot is well known to everyone: the main character of the book, Edgar Humbert Humbert, a teacher of French literature who is already over thirty, has an extraordinary inclination towards girls from nine to fourteen years old (“nymphets”). He writes a confessional novel already in prison and talks about the events of ten years ago. Then, in the summer of 1947, Humbert rented a room from Lolita's mother and realized that he had fallen in love with her young daughter. The hero decided to marry the mistress of the house so that nothing would prevent him from communicating with the girl. Humbert talks about his languid lust for Lolita in his secret diary, which one day falls into the hands of his new wife. Madame Humbert exposes him and then gets hit by a car. After his wife's funeral, Humbert adopts the girl and they travel around the United States, hiding their sexual relationship.

"Emmanuel", 1959

Author of the book: Emmanuel Arsan
Film adaptations: 1974 (Just Jacquin)

The erotic novel by the French writer Emmanuelle Arsan (real name Mariah Bibid) became a sensation in its time. The book, which many decent girls read with a flashlight under the covers, tells the story of the erotic adventures of a young European woman in Asia. Initially, it was believed that “Emmanuelle” was a quasi-autobiography, but it later turned out that its real author was the writer’s husband, the French diplomat Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andrian. Several more works were published under the pseudonym Emmanuel Arsan, but they were far from the success of the novel Emmanuel.

Quote: “Love—a person cannot do without it, just as he cannot do without food and breathing.”

"Goodbye Emmanuel"

Emmanuel Arsan's book was first filmed by French director Juste Jacquin. His name immediately became famous, and the film starring Sylvia Kristel was, of course, dubbed “scandalous.” In some countries the tape was very popular and widespread, in others, in particular the USSR, it was strictly prohibited. Soviet citizens even received prison sentences for underground viewings of Emmanuelle. The films that followed, Emmanuelle 2 and Goodbye Emmanuelle (known as Emmanuelle 3), however, were not as successful.

In 2015, we will see a new film related to the book by Emmanuelle Arsan, namely the documentary “Sylvia Kristel: Object of Desire” about the actress who played the main role in the film by Juste Jacquin.

"Dreamers", 1988

Bernardo Bertolucci is one of those “debauchers” in the history of Italian cinema. His films are always full of explicit scenes, and “The Dreamers,” based on three books by Gilbert Adera, was no exception. This intimate erotic drama takes place in Paris in 1968, during a time of student demonstrations that risk escalating into revolution. But the three main characters - students Matthew, Isabel and Theo - are detached from harsh reality and live in their own reality, in the world of cinema. They watch movies all day long, indulge in love games and never leave the house. Meanwhile, the riots on the streets of Paris reach their climax.

Leonardo DiCaprio was considered for the role of one of the main characters.

"The Dreamers" by Bernardo Bertolucci

Bernardo Bertolucci's The Dreamers turned out to be very close to the original work because the script for the film was written by Gilbert Adair himself. His book of the same name became only part of the film plot, which, in addition to it, included two more books by the writer.

Thanks to the film, Eva Green became widely known and was later invited to the film “Casino Royale”, where she played a James Bond girl.

"The Story of O", 1954

After the successful film adaptation of “Emmanuelle,” former photographer Juste Jacquin began working on another explicit book: this time the eye of the director, who mostly shoots only erotic films, fell on the scandalous “Story of O” by Dominique Ory. This book is so full of obscenity, BDSM episodes and pornographic details that Dominique Ory always denied her authorship and only admitted it four years before her death. For a long time she was known under the pseudonym Pauline Reage.

“Don’t confuse love and obedience. You will obey me without loving me and knowing that I do not love you either." - Dominique Ory, "The Story of O"

" A story about"

"Justine, or the Miserable Fate of Virtue", 1791

Author of the book: Marquis de Sade
Film adaptations: 1969 (Jesus Franco), 1972 (Claude Pierson)

The main character Justine from the book by the Marquis de Sade is a student of the monastery, who, after the death of her parents, is forced to earn her own living in order to provide not only for herself, but also for her sister Juliette. But if she herself tries to work honestly and suffers all sorts of hardships on a difficult path, then the sister does not worry about decency, goes to a brothel and after a few years achieves fortune, title and a beautiful life.

Lars Von Trier named the main character of the film Melancholia after the novel Justine by the Marquis de Sade.

The novel by the Marquis de Sade was first filmed in 1969 by Spanish director Jesus Franco, whose works were sometimes scandalous and numbered up to 10 pieces a year. He filmed the story of Justine in his homeland, Barcelona, transferring some scenes from the life of French society to the interiors of Antoni Gaudi's buildings. The second person to shoot a film based on the book “Justine, or the Miserable Fate of Virtue” is Claude Pearson. His film Justine de Sade is called the most accurate and comprehensive film adaptation of the book, in which there was a place for all the scenes of intimacy.

"9 ½ weeks"

Author of the book: Elizabeth McNeil
First published in 1978
Film adaptations: 1985 (Adrian Lyne)

According to the plot of the film by Adrian Lyne, a director already familiar to us from the film adaptation of Lolita, the main characters John Gray (attention to the last name! played by Mickey Rourke) and Elizabeth (Kim Basinger) meet for the first time in the market. Love for John captures all the feelings and desires of a woman. Every frame is intriguing, every new action of a man is unpredictable. And there is one thing: thirty years later, reading the plot of the modern erotic novel “50 Shades of Gray,” you think: “We’ve already seen this somewhere.” Elizabeth McNeil had a variety of sexual experiments and games, power and manipulation of a woman over a woman, as well as actions pushing the heroine to an emotional breakdown long before Erica James.

The film 9 ½ Weeks, which glorified the duo of Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger, received the Golden Raspberry anti-award (1987) in the nominations for worst acting and worst screenplay.

"9 ½ weeks"

The explicit scenes in “Nine and a Half Weeks” no longer surprise the modern generation, but in the USSR the film was very popular - many domestic viewers were even “sexually educated” with its help. In pursuit of big box office receipts, the producers of the film “Black November” decided to invite both actors to participate in it, although no erotic scenes between Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger were envisaged.

The sequel The Other 9 ½ Weeks or Love in Paris did not generate the same reaction as the original film. Perhaps because Mickey Rourke played in it without Kim Basinger - in the story, his hero goes to Paris to survive the breakup with Elizabeth in the arms of another woman.

"Dear Friend", 1885

Author of the book: Guy de Maupassant
Film adaptations: 2012 (Declan Donnellan, Nick Ormerod)

The novel “Dear Friend” is based on the novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant. The book is about the attractive, but cruel and narcissistic Georges Duroy, who one day realizes that he has something that can be sold profitably - namely, youth and beauty. Having set himself the goal of getting into secular society, the hero seduces influential women one after another. Especially those who are closely connected with the publishing business, because he himself is a journalist. The story told by Maupassant has been filmed nine times. The last one, starring Robert Pattinson, Uma Thurman and Christina Ricci, was released in 2012.

" Dear friend"

"Dangerous Liaisons", 1782

Author of the book: Choderlos de Laclos
Film adaptations: 1959 (Roger Vadim), 1988 (Stephen Frears), 1989 (Milos Forman) 1999 (Roger Kumble)

The erotic romance novel Dangerous Liaisons has been filmed seven times, and the first film based on the book was released back in 1959. French director Roger Vadim made a film close to the original text about a married couple looking for thrills: the heroes live an active sex life on the side, and then share their acquired experience with each other. But not everything is so simple: one day Valmont breaks the rule of not falling in love with people with whom you cheat, and loses his head over a girl he met at a ski resort.

“A woman enjoys nothing so much as victory over her rival” - Choderlos de Laclos, “Dangerous Liaisons”

" Dangerous ties"

The films based on the novel by Choderlos de Laclos will last you a long time. “Valmont” by Milos Forman with Colin Firth and Meg Tilly, “Cruel Intentions” by Roger Kumble with Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillips and Reese Witherspoon, “Dangerous Liaisons” by Jose Diana with Catherine Deneuve and Rupert Everett or Chinese-Korean film adaptations of the book filmed in 2003 and 2012? It's up to you. You can start with Stephen Frears' Dangerous Liaisons, starring John Malkovich, Glen Close, Michelle Pfeiffer, Keanu Reeves and Uma Thurman.

"Bitter Moon", 1981

Author of the book: Pascal Brückner
Film adaptation: 1992 (Roman Polanski)

The script for Roman Polanski's film is based on the erotic novel by Pascal Brückner, although it is far from its content. Thus, the film “Bitter Moon” shows the story of a married couple from England - Nigel and Fiona - who, after seven years of marriage, travel on a sea cruise in the Mediterranean to take a break from the hustle and bustle of New York and bring newness to their relationship. On the liner they meet a strange couple - an elderly writer Oscar and his young vulgar wife Mimi. Oscar tells Nigel the story of his love affair with Mimi, which began when she was barely twenty and he was forty. The passion that raged between them quickly gave way to humiliation, and Roman Polanski showed the history of their relationship so vividly and specifically that he was subjected to strong criticism due to scenes of sadomasochism. But this was precisely the case when the book’s popularity increased after the film adaptation of the same name.

"Bitter Moon" by Roman Polanski

“It is often said that hatred is the reverse side of love. What if it's the other way around? And the ardent feeling is just a respite between two battles, a truce, a time to catch your breath?” — Pascal Brückner

"Reader", 1995

The Reader is the first German novel to appear on The New York Times bestseller list. For it, lawyer Bernhard Schlink received a lot of prestigious literary awards in Europe and America, the book was translated into 39 languages and was published in millions of copies. Stephen Daldry was the first to film it.

Production on the film was suspended due to lead actress Nicole Kidman's pregnancy. She decided not to risk it, being already in her fourth month, and left the project. After her refusal, the role of Hannah Schmitz was given to Kate Winslet.

"Reader"

The book describes a secret romance that broke out between a fifteen-year-old teenager, a boy from a professor's family, and a mature woman. The lovers spend 24 hours a day together, and Hannah often asks Michael to read something to her. A few months later, Michael discovers that his mistress has disappeared, leaving an empty apartment. He would meet her only eight years later, when he was already a graduate student at the Faculty of Law. Hannah will be among the former guards of a women's concentration camp at the trial against Nazi criminals, where the main character also comes.
