Traumatic rating by destructive force. Traumatic pistols

Reached all imaginable limits. Reacting to the ever-increasing demand, manufacturers have filled the shelves of gun stores with their products. Now you can count dozens, if not hundreds various types and samples of similar self-defense weapons. And in this regard, the buyer is faced with a difficult question: “Which good traumatic pistol should I choose?” Let's try to figure out together what is better to buy. What qualities should a good traumatic pistol have?

Efficiency and effectiveness

The main task of a traumatic weapon is to protect its owner from illegal actions of other persons or animal attacks. This is achieved in two ways: psychological and, so to speak, physical (traumatic). The psychological method is understood as influencing the attacker with the sight of a pistol pointed in his direction, when he is not able to determine whether he is in the hands of the defender or a “traumatic gun.” This effect is enhanced by the realistic sound of a gunshot. By traumatic method we mean the direct ability of a bullet fired from a traumatic pistol to stop aggression. When a good traumatic replica pistol is used, one effect is superimposed on the other. An attacker, having received a rubber bullet and experiencing pain from the blow, is not able to determine the extent of the damage and what hit him.

The tension between efficiency and effectiveness

Alas, it is impossible to achieve both high similarity to a combat pistol and maximum stopping power in one sample. This is due to the low muzzle energy of “injuries” and the low weight of rubber bullets. Modern combat pistols have a maximum caliber of 11.43 mm, and even this diameter does not allow a rubber bullet to be truly effective. Often, 9 mm barrels are used, which further reduces the already small capabilities of a rubber bullet. And here the buyer himself must decide what a good traumatic pistol means to him: a “scarecrow” or a sledgehammer that knocks one down.

Barrelless pistols

An example of a non-lethal weapon with a powerful stopping effect is a good traumatic pistol domestic production"Wasp". Outwardly, it looks more like a multi-barreled rocket launcher or a toy than military weapon, however, a hit from his 12-gamma bullet with a steel core can quickly dispel all doubts about the seriousness of this “injury.” It is called trunkless because in its design there are no trunks as such. Their role is played by long sleeves with 18 mm in diameter. This design determined relatively low price the pistol itself and the high cost of ammunition for it. Based on the Wasp, the 2013 Shaman was created. Using the “wasp” principle, the “Shaman” fires huge 20.5x45 rounds, the muzzle energy of which reaches 120 J.

In this case, you should pay attention mainly to the quality of the assembly and components of the weapon, because its destructive capabilities depend more on the cartridge used than on the design of the sample. Of course, than larger caliber, the better, so less than 9 mm - it will already be exclusively “scarecrow”. A good one will most likely be released at the enterprise that makes its combat prototype. An example of this is the Makarovs from Izhmash. However, for foreign samples this rule does not always apply.

In order to protect yourself and your loved ones, it is not at all necessary to purchase an arsenal of weapons like action heroes. An ordinary “trauma” is quite enough, with the help of which it will be possible to neutralize the attackers without injuring them. Selection of traumatic weapons for modern market is simply huge, and today we will talk about the best traumatic pistols, about the most powerful and reliable, most popular in Russia.

5 "Shaman"

“Shaman” is one of the most powerful and best traumatic pistols today, whose muzzle energy can reach 120 J. It is more than enough to neutralize a very well-fed adult at a distance of one and a half meters. The presentation of this pistol took place in 2009. The weapon is barrelless and fires traumatic cartridges. The basic package includes a high-strength adapter, which allows you to change the caliber of bullets. As for the bullets themselves, lighting cartridges are used here (their caliber is 18X45).

"Osa" PB-4 - an equally popular barrelless traumatic pistol Russian production. It was developed by specialists from the Applied Chemistry Research Institute. The weapon is equipped with standard cartridges, the caliber of which is 18.5x55 mm. The weight of one cartridge is only 10 grams, which is enough for effective self-defense. You can increase your shot range and accuracy by using the Osa equipment with a laser target designator.

The MP-461 self-defense weapon called “Guard” took third place in the ranking of traumatic pistols. Its advantage is its compactness and lightness, since the body is made of reliable impact-resistant plastic. The model was developed by Izhevsk specialists. The role of the striker in it is performed by the ignition system generated by a pulse from a CR2032 battery. The “Guardian” shoots with 18X45 mm cartridges, the muzzle energy is 90 J. A high-precision laser target designator is responsible for the accuracy of the shot.

2 “Ratnik” 410x45TK

"Ratnik" 410x45TK is a practical and reliable traumatic pistol with 410x215 mm caliber cartridges. The barrel length is 51 mm, and the weight of the weapon is 500 grams. “Ratnik” has shown itself to be a trouble-free “trauma” that never jams and will allow you to protect yourself in any conditions. It is easy to remove spent cartridges using a folding drum.

The model has a drawback: it has a small magazine capacity (only 5 rounds), slow reloading and a mediocre sight that leaves much to be desired.

The “Groza” 021 pistol occupies a leading position in terms of sales and is rightfully considered the best “trauma” in Russia. It is made of high-quality weapon steel and fires 9mm cartridges with rubber tips. If necessary, the pistol can be loaded with other ammunition, including irritant gas. With a length of 18 cm, the weight of the pistol is 800 grams.

The build quality of the "Thunderstorm" 021 is simply excellent, but it has a drawback: it is a rather bulky design.

Traumatic pistols And traumatic revolvers limited damage - one of the categories civilian weapons, intended for self-defense. Almost all 9mm caliber traumatic pistols and traumatic revolvers correspond to their combat counterparts. But thanks to changes made to their design, these weapons became unsuitable for the use of live ammunition. IN European countries it is called less-lethal (less lethal). A traumatic pistol or revolver allows you to effectively neutralize an aggressor without causing him any serious injuries. If you want to protect yourself and your loved ones, then buying a traumatic revolver or pistol is an excellent choice.
The assortment offered in our store will pleasantly surprise the buyer; from us you can purchase a whole range of different traumatic pistols, such as the famous Thunderstorm, Taurus, Grand Power, Osa and many others. Please note that the purchase of traumatic weapons is permitted only with a license. How to obtain permission to purchase a traumatic pistol or traumatic revolver in Moscow, you can in the section License.

Russian legislation prohibits Fluency with a firearm. These bans do not reduce crime. This means you need to protect your family in some other way. Many people over 18 years of age choose traumatic guns—pistols that fire rubber bullets or tear gas.

The fundamental difference between traumatic pistols and combat pistols is their inability to cause mortal harm. Lethal outcome can occur when hit in the head with close range, but in general this weapon is designed for self-defense.

Of course, you can kill a person with anything, as long as the charge is provided with sufficient power. For this reason, the energy of civilian injuries is limited to 91 J. This force is enough for a rubber bullet to stop or even knock down an enemy of any size. But what Russian doesn’t want something more powerful? This rating presents the best traumatic pistols in terms of power and reliability. Some of them do not go beyond the legislative framework, others have slipped out of them.

Top ten injuries

One of the most popular injuries. It is produced by a Ukrainian company. The pistol combines both practical value and nice design. Unlike some representatives of the top, appearance Fort is truly worthy.

Fort pistol

Apart from the grips, the weapon is entirely steel. This makes it very wear-resistant - according to the manufacturer, the Fort is designed for at least 50,000 shots. The barrel does not have a bolt clutch - the channel is locked by the return force of the spring and the mass of the bolt. The capacity of the box magazine is 8-12 rounds.

We couldn’t find where to buy one, but we found where you can find a worthy replacement for the Fort - in the Air Gun store →. The store is proven, reliable, and the range there is really very wide.

A weapon designed to fire 9mm caliber cartridges. The pistol is made of high quality steel. The handle is made of polymer. Magazine capacity - 14 rounds. Trigger design of hammer format. Shots are fired both self-cocking and from a pre-cocked hammer.

The sights consist of a rear sight and a front sight, adjustable in the horizontal plane. They have white markings on the back to make aiming easier. It is possible to fire various ammunition, but the automatic weapon is designed only for rubber bullets. Noise and gas cartridges will require manual retraction of the bolt to the rearmost position to remove the cartridge case.

Pistol length – 180 mm. Weight – 830 g.

This pistol is currently out of production. A worthy replacement is the Groza R-02S revolver; if compact size is important to you, the Groza R-04. The closest analogue is Groza-01 9mm.

Traumatic weapons have long taken root in the domestic market for self-defense equipment, and there are buyers even for those models that can be classified more as toys than as effective weapons. However, despite the fact that trauma is a weapon non-lethal action, you can regularly hear from the news that there and there a person was killed with a traumatic weapon.

Let's try to figure out why in some situations traumatism behaves more aggressively than expected and what such a means of defense should be like so that it remains both effective and does not lead to the death of the attacker.

I’ll say right away that by IDEAL TRAUMATIC WEAPON I mean not only a pistol, revolver or any other device capable of shooting, but also ammunition for it, which only in very rare cases can lead to the death of the attacker, but at the same time will be quite effective to stop him. Therefore, we will rather talk about cartridges, since the concept of “ideal traumatic weapon” does not include many requirements. Comfortable, lightweight, durable, reliable- that’s probably all that can be written about it.

Remembering what trauma was like at the very beginning of its appearance in Russia, and in any other country where it became widespread, it is difficult to hold back a smile, although it would rather be more appropriate to hold back tears. At that time, traumatic cartridges had a kinetic energy of about 30 Joules, and some ammunition did not reach 15.

What was even more surprising was that the pistols and revolvers themselves had a strength that was precisely designed for such “brutal” cartridges and, being loaded with ammunition with a bullet kinetic energy of 50 Joules, simply failed after a few shots.

Now the situation has changed, and although the market for traumatic weapons could not be completely cleared of “self-disintegrating” pistols and revolvers, tangible progress has been noticeable in comparison with what was at the beginning. This progress also affected ammunition, which significantly increased the energy of the bullets, and the bullets themselves began to be made of harder rubber, which not only increases the weight of the bullet itself, but also significantly affects the result of its impact on the enemy’s body.

As a result of this, the effectiveness of such ammunition has really increased many times over, but the bullets, although they remain rubber, no longer behave at all like them. For example, you can take cartridges such as Magnum for the Tanfoglio INNA pistol. In addition to the specified model, they can be used in other pistols that have sufficient strength and have a normal barrel design that does not lead to severe deformation of the bullet when fired.

The ammunition is indeed quite effective, capable of even causing inconvenience to the enemy through several layers of thick clothing, but it is only effective against the background of weaker traumatic cartridges for pistols and revolvers of classical designs. Unfortunately, it does not behave as a traumatic cartridge, and its effectiveness is the result of relatively deep penetrating wounds into the attacker’s body.

In parallel with pistols and revolvers of classical designs, another type of traumatology developed - the so-called barrelless traumatic pistols, but not everything was going smoothly with them either, although, of course, such a development, as it is popularly called, a cartridge with an electric capsule, is very interesting and has a right to life, although it is already many years old. Among the main disadvantages of weapons such as pistols of the OSA family, the following can be listed::

- oxidation of contacts, if the cartridge cartridge is stationary, which leads to weapon failure, although only in the most advanced cases, when there is no contact with any of the cartridges;

- not the most reliable power sources. So the battery can simply run out, including during severe hypothermia, and the magnetic pulse generator can simply run out due to the magnets losing their properties, which will also take time, but this is quite possible;

— non-ideal logic of weapon operation when determining a cartridge ready to fire, which can also lead in rare cases to pistol failures.

Of course, in some models, due to their features, any of the above will not be present, but at least one item will be required. In addition, as for cartridges for traumatic weapons classic designs, there is a serious problem of quality, which is not always stable even among trusted manufacturers. However, such cartridges show themselves to be much more effective than their smaller caliber counterparts, the reason here lies in more weight ammunition and larger area contact upon impact.

However, all the same, they cannot be called ideal traumatic ammunition and here’s why. Most of these traumatic cartridges have a metal core, which tears the rubber quite well when hit and, accordingly, can cause more serious injuries than expected. And although in Lately They say that bullets will lose such cores, this ammunition is still on sale.

As their analogues are available ammunition 18x45РШ, the bullet of which is already presented in the form of a rubber ball with metal shavings, which makes such ammunition safer, but due to the absence of a penetrating wound when hit, it is less effective. In other words, the speed of this cartridge is not high enough to confidently defeat the enemy, but its design leads to a more correct idea of what a traumatic cartridge should be.

In my mind effective traumatic ammunition- this is a cartridge equipped with a spherical rubber bullet with a diameter of about 20 mm, placed in a sleeve of smaller diameter due to deformation of the rubber, say with a diameter of 15 mm.

Inside the bullet ball, to increase its weight, there must be a cavity filled with small lead shavings, which will simultaneously increase the weight and prevent penetrating wounds from the core.

Under no circumstances should the rubber be hard; on the contrary, it should be as soft as possible; the hardness will be provided by lead shavings inside the bullet.

Such ammunition will minimize penetrating wounds upon impact, but in order for it to be truly effective, its kinetic energy will have to be increased, since the current legal ceiling is clearly not enough to ensure reliable destruction through several layers of warm clothing without penetrating wounds.

As for weapons for such ammunition, I am still leaning towards a pistol of a classical design, without electronics. The barrel, naturally, is smooth, corresponding to the diameter of the compressed bullet; perhaps a small choke will be required to ensure the operation of the automation. The automation is built according to the blowback design, there is no need to philosophize here, everything is simple and clear, and you don’t need anything else for ammunition by the standards firearms frankly weak.

Double-action trigger mechanism, open hammer. Safety devices consisting of a non-automatic safety and an automatic one in the form of a button on the back of the handle (inconvenient, but reliable, and you can get used to it). Ideally, it is impossible to fire a shot without an inserted magazine.

Actually, this is my vision, albeit not ideal, but close to ideal, of traumatic ammunition and a pistol for it. However, this is my opinion, so maybe someone thinks differently. Let's speak out on this matter.
