How to set the time of night in Minecraft. How to change the time of day in Minecraft

Articles / Guides for Minecraft | How to change the time of day in Minecraft

Surely many of you have wondered how to change the time of day in Minecraft. The question, it would seem, is not an easy one. After all, you see, playing at night is completely different. There are skeletons, zombies, spiders, and other bunch of bloodthirsty monsters all around, just waiting for you to gape. Yes, and building something normally is difficult, the lighting is not very good.

Of course, if you have a bed, then you know how to pass the time. Well, what if not? If there is no time/desire/resources? Then this article is for you! So, now we will tell you how to make a day in Minecraft.
Commands for changing the time of day in Minecraft

In order to change night to day, or something else, there are two ways:

Method 1

/time set *time of day* – available parameters: day and night

Accordingly, it changes the time of day to morning or evening.

Method 2

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">/time set *purely from 0 to 24000

I personally like this method much better. After all, here I can set not only dawn (0), or evening (12500)

Changing the number, we can get accordingly:
morning: /time set 0
noon:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">/time set 6000

twilight:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">/time set 12000

midnight:

200?"200px":""+(this.scrollHeight+5)+"px");">/time set 18000

Just be sure to be careful not to put a space - the code will not work.

Minecraft how to make eternal night or day!

In Minecraft, a day has a slightly different meaning than in reality. Because the computer characters do not have a biological clock and certainly do not associate their activity with it; in this sense, the dark time of day is not a time of rest for them. (Although, after creating a bed and lying down on it, they can take a nap, simply skipping the night.)

Daytime hours are important for gamers in a slightly different way. The time when the sun is shining in the game is good for building and strengthening your home, mining ores, crafting tools and weapons to protect yourself from hostile mobs. When night comes, those under the shadow of its darkness begin to spawn, and you will have to hide from them somewhere, and, if necessary, make a sortie - fight them off.

Naturally, in such every second fear for own life the player hardly manages to accomplish anything remotely useful. In addition, until dawn comes and most enemies (with the exception of creepers and spiders) begin to burn under sun rays, a gamer generally runs the risk of dying every moment, and in some situations, of losing his inventory (if death occurs as a result of an explosion or other similar circumstances).

That’s why many people dream that the night would pass faster or not happen at all. In fact, this is not such an unattainable goal. Switch to daytime days in Minecraft, unlike in reality, you can do it anytime and even in several ways. One of them is the use of special commands.

Ways to turn on daylight hours

In a single-player game, the team method is especially good, since here the player is usually his own boss. On a server or other multi-user resources, only administrators have the authority to switch day and night. Ordinary players should either install special mods, or even when creating a new game world indicate in its settings the possibility of using cheats.

First of all, you need to call the console (which also serves as a means for gamers to write chat messages) by pressing T, and then enter the command /time set in it and specify a certain numeric value separated by a space. For different times of day it will range from 0 to 24,000, with 0 corresponding to the earliest dawn, 6,000 to noon, 12,000 to sunset and 18,000 to midnight. Accordingly, to set the day you will need any integer value in the range of 1000-12000.

However, if the player is afraid of getting confused with the numbers and accidentally setting the wrong time period that he needs, he can write the above command a little differently. After /time set he should write day - and then day will come in the game. By the way, the command will work even if the word set is missing from it.

Another way to call the day when needed is to do it through command block. Under normal conditions, such an item is available exclusively to users playing in creative mode, as well as to administrators of multiplayer resources. In addition, gamers can get it using a special cheat code - /give command_block - and specifying the quantity separated by a space.

In the interface of this block, after right-clicking the mouse, you must enter the /time set command with the desired numerical value (its limits were mentioned above). To make the day eternal, it is not a sin to use the indicator 5000. At some distance from such a command panel, you should install a solid block with a button and draw a path of redstone dust from the first to the second. With the press of a button, the day will come and will continue until the player gets bored.

On Jupiter, a day lasts 10 hours. In Minecraft it’s even cooler - the daily cycle here is 20 minutes. Of these, Notch allocated 10 to the day, one and a half minutes to sunset and dawn, and the rest of the time - 7 minutes - to the night. Such a rapid rotation of the game planet around its own axis (or does the Sun revolve around us in Minecraft?) does not suit everyone and not always. This is understandable: as soon as, figuratively speaking, you stroke the laces, it’s already time to sleep. And that’s not why we came to play, to be told how long we should stay awake and how much time we should devote to the pillow. We would real life I’m not at all averse to controlling nature, including time, and even in such a creative sandbox as Minecraft... they wanted to say: “Notch himself ordered it,” but he just doesn’t really order it.

Well, it’s okay, we crafters are our own Einsteins. We know well that time is relative, and if so, then there must be a way to stretch and compress it according to our will. And this is exactly the case when the method not only has to, but also has to, and we will tell you what it is.

First of all, today we are interested in how to make a night in Minecraft. This is a dangerous, but also rewarding and amazing time. Both its danger and its benefit lie in the bloodthirsty mobs crawling out of their abodes as soon as the Sun goes to rest. Night is the time when we risk our lives, but it also gives us invaluable drops and experience after meeting monsters. And how often we missed these unfortunate seven minutes! But now everything in your life will change. You will become full-fledged time lords in Minecraft. You will understand how to make the night.

We command the night and day

For your ambitious dream to come true, you must either have server operator rights, or, if you prefer solo and Creative, enable cheat mode. If you are not limited by the absence of these conditions, then all you have to do is learn how to use the console in Minecraft. To make the night command line write the almighty command - "/time set night". It will turn your game into endless walks under the moon and, of course, into constant fights with monsters. If that's what you want, go ahead. Since we are talking about the night, it would be unreasonable not to touch on the day. It can be done with the opposite command - "/time set day".

The day, however, is not limited to these opposites in Minecraft. To be able to set any time of day, you need to learn another command - "/time set xxx". Instead of X's you need to put desired value- from 0 to 24000. See examples:

  • 18000 . With this number you will “call” deep night (midnight) into Minecraft.
  • 6000 . Love the midday heat? This number is for you.
  • 12000 . It is easy to guess that as a result of writing this number, you will find yourself in twilight. Be sure to include a space before the numbers.

Making a time management command post

To make managing time in Minecraft as easy as possible, you can use a command block. You can’t just do it like that - all the same conditions must be present: operator rights, etc. But, as we understand, you already have them if you are planning to manage time. Then write “/give<ваш ник>137", and get a command block. In addition to this, you will need:

  • Red dust
  • Button
  • Some kind of block on which to attach the button

It’s better to make two “commanders” in Minecraft. One is responsible for the day, the other for the night. Give everyone the numerical commands you already know, move them to the blocks with redstone buttons, and enjoy playing the almighty “electrician.”

Admit it, would you like to suffer from omnipotence? There is a Napoleon in each of us. To some, a short man in a cocked hat whispers that it would be cool to make “a thousand bucks a day”; to someone, a military leader sits down, claiming that you shouldn’t sell yourself for less than for a director’s chair at Gazprom. And to others Bonaparte stubbornly hammers in: “Only the whole Universe, only hardcore.” The last set includes both the subjugation of space and superiority over time. We don’t know what kind of Corsican has taken up residence in you, but even if it’s not the most raking one, you know... Allow yourself to dream.

Although, dreams are dreams, but the biblical Elijah at one time stopped the sun for three days. Not by my own strength, of course, but there was no Minecraft then. And then he managed to put the luminary in place, preventing it from going beyond the horizon. Imagine what you, the rulers of the gaming world, can do. Let your omnipotence not go beyond virtual reality, but you have to start somewhere. So start by controlling the main “light bulb” solar system. Let's tell you a secret: you don't have to adapt to the daily cycle imposed on you by the creators of Minecraft. Now we will tell you how to stop a wonderful moment.

"Plus or Minus"

There are several ways to control the time of day in Minecraft. But they all imply that you either have operator rights on the server (if you prefer multiplayer), or did not forget to enable cheat mode (if you are lonely). So, the first way to make an eternal day.

On the command line you need to take and write: /time set day. From now on, if you haven't missed anything, you will enjoy the absence of the night. We don’t know how long you will last, because darkness has its advantages. But this is clearly not a problem, you are a time lord, remember? And as soon as you get bored with the light above your head in Minecraft, all you have to do is write almost the same thing. Only instead of “day” you need to put “night”. It will turn out like this: /time set night.

Turn on gradation

Day is good. But the black and white world is not very good. If you like any “shade” of the day, there is a second method prepared for you. The same command “/time set”, at the end of which any number from zero to 24000 is placed separated by a space, will allow you to diversify the daily cycle. Here are some examples:

  • “/time set 6000” - and you are guaranteed a permanent day.
  • 18000. This team ending will appeal to sleepwalkers, as it will cover Minecraft at night.
  • 12000. Dedicated to twilight lovers.

In general, experiment. You can set any value and see what happens in Minecraft.

Automated method

For fans of automation, this method is suitable. It is based on a command block, which cannot be done in the usual way. But this is not a barrier, and if you need it, you can get it in Minecraft. In addition to him, “arm yourself”:

  • Redstone
  • Any block on which you can attach a button
  • With the button itself

From the command block, drag it to the redstone button, write the command from the previous method in the KB interface, and turn it on when you feel the need, day. Of course, you can do this in Minecraft at night, or anything else.
