At work, the young journalist was distinguished by her diligence and creativity; in three years, the girl from the assistant had grown to the position of a columnist.

During her work, Evelina created several author's headings, among which the most popular was the Sleeping Beauty program, which told young beauties about fashion and personal care.

Also, during her work at the Smena station, the girl several times collaborated with the Vzglyad TV program of the famous VID TV channel.

The girl tried to combine her work on the radio with her studies, but often she had to miss classes due to excessive employment.

Fortunately, the teachers encouraged her journalistic activities and did not pay attention to the absenteeism of the student. Evelina graduated from the Institute with honors, but she did not get to the presentation, as she led the four-hour program "Peers".

In 2013, Evelina returned to the walls of her native university, this time as a teacher of journalism.

The path to recognition

In 1992, the girl received an offer to become a fashion observer at the Europa Plus station. Khromchenko agreed and until 1997 worked in Europe Plus.

In addition to working at the radio station, Evelina began working on print fashion publications. In 1994, Khromchenko created a magazine for teenage girls "Marusya".

Due to dishonesty business partner the young journalist was left without the rights to her own magazine and soon stopped working on her brainchild.

In 1995, together with her husband, she opened the Evelina Khromchenko Fashion Department, a PR agency. V next year it was decided to rename the agency to Artifact.

In the same year, the company organized the Russian Fashion Week festival. The agency also organized the Elite Model Look competition, organized visits to Russia and press conferences for designers from all over the world.

Working at the agency, Evelina did not forget about journalism. Often Khromchenko flew to fashion weeks in Paris for her money and interviewed significant figures in the fashion industry.

Such people included Yves Saint Laurent, Claudia Schiffer and Naomi Campbell. Her articles were published in the glossy editions "Elle" and "Cosmopolitan", newspapers "Izvestia" and "Komsomolskaya Pravda". Izvestia fully paid for the travel expenses.

Soon Khromchenko became one of the most significant persons in the fashion world of Russia. On radio "Europe Plus" Khromchenko launched new project"Podium".

In 1997, Evelina left her post as a columnist at the station. A year later, the woman founded the glossy publication L’Officel, in which she was the creative director and editor-in-chief until 2010.

Khromchenko also judged young designers at the Andam and Russian Siluet competitions and the Nadezhda Lamanova competition.

Participation in the TV program "Fashionable Sentence"

In 2007, the journalist was invited to become the host of the Fashionable Sentence television program. Evelina agreed to try herself as a fashion expert, and in July the first issue with her was released.

A year later, for her participation in the TV show, Evelina was awarded the TEFI Prize. In 2010, Khromchenko was in the top 25 most popular leading Russian companies TNS Russia.

Several times the star acted in films. She played herself in one of the episodes of the popular television series "Don't Be Born Beautiful" and later played herself again in the film "Mothers and Daughters."

She also voiced Miranda Priestley, played by the famous Meryl Streep, in the Russian version of The Devil Wears Prada.

In 2009, Khromchenko published the book "Russian style", which was sold in circulation far beyond the borders of Russia. The presentation of the book took place in Paris.

In 2002, Khromchenko began to teach the course "Marketing and Branding of Glossy Media" in High school economy. She held this position until 2011.

Since the winter of 2013, Khromchenko has been working for the international edition of Les Editions Jalou.

Personal life

The star met her husband Alexander Shumsky during her student years. After graduation, they did business together.

In 1996, the firstborn of Evelina was born, the son was named Artemy. In 2014, the couple filed for divorce.

As it turned out, Evelina and Alexander had not lived together for three years, so the separation was calm and by mutual agreement.
