Some of the recipes for minced turkey cutlets presented below are dietary.

Ground turkey cutlets - general principles

Turkey meat is a bit dry. Therefore, butter, cream, and herbs are usually added to minced meat.

It is controversial whether eggs and a loaf soaked in milk should be added. Some housewives claim that soaked bread makes the cutlets not softer, but, on the contrary, harder to chew. The same claims are made for eggs.

Of course, every housewife has her own opinion on this topic. Maybe it's worth trying both ways. In any case, we can say the following with confidence.

First of all, no matter what they say about egg whites, yolk, added to ground turkey cutlets, will not make them tougher. A useful substances will enrich you!

Secondly, if minced turkey cutlets are intended for children, then rest assured: they will like the option with a soaked bun better.

Many people are of the opinion that, instead of a bun, you should add raw potatoes. This will actually improve the taste and texture of your ground turkey or beef patties. You can also add cabbage (cauliflower or cabbage), carrots, and celery root, but all of these vegetables have a stronger taste, so they will give the ground turkey cutlets a distinct flavor, which is not everyone's cup of tea.

You can make minced turkey cutlets different ways: fry in a frying pan; cook in a double boiler or slow cooker; simmer in sauce; bake in the oven. Of course, it makes sense to cook in the oven a large number of cutlets They should be laid out on oiled baking paper and cooked for about half an hour in an oven preheated to 180 degrees. If a recipe requires a certain preparation option, we will inform you about it.

Naturally, it is better to make minced meat from the fillet itself, and immediately before preparing the cutlets. If the dish is not intended for small children or people with stomach problems, it is better to pass the fillet through a meat grinder with a coarse mesh - the cutlets will be juicier.

Ground turkey cutlets usually brown well, but if you like to cook breaded, mince the wheat or corn crumbs before frying and coat the cutlets in them before frying. You can also bread the cutlets in semolina. You can add heavily chopped dry spicy herbs to the breading, although this is not an acquired taste.

Minced turkey cutlets in a frying pan - step-by-step recipe with photos

Juicy and tender turkey cutlets can be fried in a frying pan. This, of course, is not very useful. But how delicious!

Ingredients:

  • half a kilo of ground turkey;
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream;
  • 2 slices of bread;
  • one onion;
  • a quarter glass of milk (about 50 grams);
  • grated cheese;
  • salt and ground pepper.

Preparation:

1.If you are not using ready-made minced meat, but fillet, then you need to grind it in a meat grinder. If your minced meat is from the freezer, it must be completely defrosted.

2. Soak the bread in milk. As soon as it softens, take it out without squeezing it so that a little milk remains. Grind with a blender.

3. Add bread to the minced meat.

4. Peel the onion and chop finely. Now you also need to grind it in a blender. Add to minced meat. Now sour cream, salt and ground pepper will go here for taste.

5. Mix everything into a single mass. At this stage, you may think that the minced meat is runny. But this is not bad at all, quite the contrary. The cutlets from it will turn out very juicy.

6. Heat oil in a frying pan. Place the cutlets with a spoon and fry them on both sides under the lid.

The mixture must be poured into boiling oil, otherwise the cutlets will fall apart.

7. After frying, place them on paper napkin to glass the oil.

8. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the cutlets on top. Sprinkle each with grated cheese and place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for a few minutes. As soon as the cheese is melted, they can be taken out and served. This procedure is optional. They can be eaten after frying, without baking.

Enjoy watching!

Probably every family loves cutlets. Some people fry them in a frying pan, others bake them. Proponents of proper nutrition steam their food. It turns out delicious either way. And if you cook them according to one of today’s recipes, then your dish will be doomed to success!

Cook with love! I wish you creative and culinary success! See you again!

To prepare the cutlets, you can buy ready-made minced turkey, finely chop the onion, grate the potatoes, squeeze the garlic through a press, and add the soaked loaf.

I prefer to use a turkey thigh. As a rule, there is a little fat on it, which will make our cutlets even juicier, and the bone can be hidden in sauce or a small saucepan of soup.

I also like it when the minced meat is homogeneous, so I cut the meat, onions, and potatoes into cubes and put them through a meat grinder.

I also send garlic and a soaked bun there. When it comes to greens in cutlets, I prefer dill; I chop it finely and add it to the prepared minced meat. I don’t add an egg, because the minced turkey is already “tight” and our cutlets will keep their shape perfectly. If you don’t like bread in cutlets, you can simply leave it out; they already turn out very tasty. Don't forget about spices.

Ours is ready. Now heat up the frying pan, pour a little vegetable oil and add a piece of butter. While the oil is heating up, beat the minced meat, form it into cutlets and place it on a hot frying pan. Let them “cook” a little over high heat for a minute, no more is needed, then turn the heat down and cover the cutlets with a lid.

Fry for about three minutes and turn them over to the other side. Another seven minutes and our wonderful dish is ready.

As a side dish for turkey cutlets, you can serve mashed potatoes or rice with vegetables; turkey goes well with them.

By the way, using the same recipe you can cook not only fried cutlets turkey, but also steamed - for the youngest members of your family. True, without adding pepper. These are the delicious and healthy cutlets I made.

Bon appetit and good recipes!
