For the manufacture of brooches, metal clasps were purchased (can be replaced with pins), and all the rest were found in a box with unnecessary things: trimmings of fabric, knitwear, braid, cord, lace, buttons, beads and beads, feathers ...
From an old woolen sweater, I decided to sew a hat and.

Having cut off the edges of the sweater, processed with an overlock, I rolled up the scraps with a "snail" and drew attention to the interesting texture of these very circles-snails.

This is how the idea of ​​turning wool scraps into warm and cozy ones was born. A piece of linen lace is the result of shortening the maxi skirt. Also useful were the trims of gray with "silvering" cotton. The feathers were collected in the summer at the zoo. The back of the brooches is an old English woolen scarf, machine-washed and rolled down to the state of felt, very similar to hand-made felt.

From a wide strip of linen lace, narrow strips, approximately 1.5-2 cm, are cut out. The edge of the strips is decorated with denticles according to the existing pattern on the lace. One of the edges of the cotton scraps was specially frayed; for this, the warp threads were stretched by about 0.5 cm. Along the other edge (both on the fabric and on the lace), a hand-stitching "needle forward" was laid. Subsequently, pulling the thread, you need to gather the fabric and.

From the scarf with zigzag scissors we will cut out circles on which we will sew fasteners for brooches. Please note - the fasteners should be shifted slightly upward from the center, so the finished brooch will not sag under its own weight. If there are no zigzag scissors, you can cut the circles with ordinary scissors, the felt does not fall off.

So, we compose brooches.

In the first brooch there is a woolen scraps roll as the center. Around it is a lace frill. The addition is a fragment from a broken necklace (beads on a fishing line), a guinea fowl feather.

To combine the color of the dark gray center and light gray lace, a Czech glass bead and about 12-14 pieces of beads and bugles are randomly sewn into the center.

The first tier of the next brooch is made of a gray stripe gathered in a frill. I pre-processed the outer edge of the strip on sewing machine frequent zigzag seams. The next tier is made of linen lace frills, which should be about 7 mm narrower than the gray strip. The middle of the brooch is made of woolen scraps. A button, tied with silk, is sewn into the very center. Can be replaced with any button that matches the color.

Complemented with a bud (a bunch of stamens is inserted into the linen cord) and linen braid.

The third brooch is quite simple in execution: a strip with a frayed edge gathered on a thread is laid in a spiral in a circle on the base and fixed with hand stitches. A linen cord and a button are sewn into the center.

And finally, a brooch from what was left: a woolen roll, gray feathers, a bunch of stamens, pieces of cord, braid and ribbons, a small cotton frill.

The back of the brooches is decorated in the same way - hand-sewn circles with a clasp. If the base of the brooch does not have enough elasticity, you can put a circle of dense leather under the base, slightly smaller in diameter than the base.

By the way, I turned out to be gray. One brooch will remain with me, and the rest will be carried away by Masha, who was the chief designer in this process.

Boho is characterized by natural materials. I was inspired by Svetlana Khachina. You can also see other interesting works there. I decided to start small, with brooches. Made four. This brooch is for denim style. I really wanted turquoise, I used blue beads.

For work, you will need different wooden beads, beads not only blue, but also greenish, a little black, transparent, pearl, i.e. natural shades. And apple seeds. If there is, beads are pebbles

Fabrics - chintz, jeans, canvas, mesh (you can replace it with lace without it), holofiber (synthetic winterizer)

Various lace, and simple, old, and more expensive. Better than natural shades. If the lace is wider than necessary, it can be folded to length.

Cut out two circles from jeans and chintz. I have 7 cm each, but it doesn't matter.

Collect the calico circle in a bag, fill it with holofiber. I tried cotton wool, for naturalness, but it is not convenient.

We tighten the thread to the desired diameter. We flash it twice, so it's more reliable. We fix it. We do not cut the thread.

Sew two circles

The result is a needle bed, so we use it in the process.

Sew on beads and beads at random, collect several pieces. Sometimes we stitch between them to make it stronger

Now the ruffles. There will be several rows of them. The first row is a grid. It doesn't matter that it is of two parts, the junction will not be visible. Fold in half lengthwise

And we will sew to the denim circle, laying the folds at once. Seam - back with a needle.

It is desirable that the strips be long, from 1 cm to 2 cm wide. If they are wider, it will be difficult to pierce the base. Although, if you want to make such a flower on a knitted fabric with a large knit, then you can take strips of fabric and wider. The flower will be more voluminous.

To begin with, I made a pencil markup, but in principle, you can do it by eye and right away. The rays must be of the same length and in an odd number.

I inserted a strip of fabric into a needle with a large eye, and piercing the base from the wrong side from the center in different directions, I made rays.

Then, with the same strip of fabric, I began to form a flower around the center, threading a needle in a circle under the rays and above them alternately. That is why there must be an odd number of them.

The length of the stripe depends on the size of the flower. Perhaps you will only have one strip of fabric. I needed three, each about 90 cm long.

By doing the process in this way, I have created a complete flower. The tail must be hidden under the flower and fixed with a thread. Here's what happened as a result. The flower is ready!

In my opinion, he turned out to be very lively. The very fabric from which it is made is soft, and it is pleasant to touch the flower. At the same time, it retains its shape and volume. Outwardly, it is not even clear how it is made. As if it consists of many petals, but in fact it is just strips of fabric. I really liked this technique.

If you want to decorate a product with such a flower, which is made of a sufficiently thin material, and it will be unacceptable to pierce it with strips, then the rays can be made from threads folded several times and matched to the tone of the flower so that they do not stand out.

And also, such decorative flowers can be created on the basis, then cut and sewn anywhere, or made brooches out of them, attaching to back side fasteners. Here's how many for a wide variety of cases.
