Top servers wwii 3.3 5a. Free WoW Servers Ready

Sorted it out what pirates of the Legion are now, where you can already play for free... Collected in one article the advantages and disadvantages of each free pirate server World of Warcraft Legion.

It turned out that there are still few pirates. It is not surprising - after all, even at the WOW Legion off, it will be released only on August 30th.

So what free Legion servers are there at the moment?

1. Epicwow

It is believed to be the first Legion pirate launched in Russia. Epicwow's Legion server is positioned as a test server, while mining from monsters and some quests are not working, but the artifact system is working.

  • Rates: х1

Video on installing the Legion pirate client:

2. Stormheim

This WOW Legion pirate server is currently in closed alpha testing. The only way to get free access to the Legion Pirate from Stormheim is to take part in the access raffle in the VK group.

The start of the open beta test for all players was planned for July, but due to problems with Blizzard, it had to be postponed.

Now the launch of a free pirate server of the Legion, open to all, is planned for mid-August 2016 year.

  • Rates: x1 (may be increased)
  • Game client: the administration gives a download link to those who have access.

Several free servers (WoW Only, Blood Rose) also announced the development of the Legion Pirates, but at the moment their WOW Legion servers are not working.

When to expect free Legion servers to work?

As a rule, most bugs on World of Warcraft Legion pirate servers are fixed within 5-6 months. Thus, the appearance of working pirates of the Legion can be expected in early 2017.

It is worth noting that the free Legion servers will appear immediately after the official release of the game (August 30), but 10-20% of the content will work on them.

How to start playing pirate WOW Legion

To start the game, you need to download the version of World of Warcraft that is current for the selected server - it differs for different servers.

After that, you need to start the game with a special shortcut in the folder where you downloaded it (just not the official one!).

What are the differences between the pirates of the Legion and off?

Free servers WOW Legion are launched for those who do not want to pay for the official version of the game. But due to the "unofficiality" pirates often have many bugs or non-working aspects of the game (for example, quests, battlefields, arenas, etc.).

The main differences between pirates and offs:

  • The server is free - you do not need to pay for access to the game
  • The presence of bugs and flaws
  • Donation system: the ability to buy cool things for real money.

Do you know some free Legion servers that are not in our article - tell us about them in the comments! We will also be glad to hear your opinion about those pirates named above.

Each of you, for the first time (and not only) starting to play World of Warcraft, faced a problem. No, this is not a choice of race or faction, the choice of a name and game appearance, but with a more difficult task. Where exactly to start playing, which server to choose PvP or PvE, Russian or English.

And, as a rule, a lot depends on the choice of the server. In any case, for whom, how and by whom to play is yours. I will just direct your thoughts a little so that you do not make those game mistakes for which you had to regret for wasting your time.

And we will start by choosing the server language. Recently, the players of the Russian-speaking servers were equated with the European players, and thus the notorious server reservation was removed. Now you can freely join a group of players on any European server, or even take part with them in campaigns in Mythic dungeons and raids. As soon as this became possible, many players who had previously played on Russian-speaking servers took advantage of this opportunity and switched to play on various European servers.

As practice shows, European servers are more populated, and queues to the same dungeon come much faster. The activity at the auction also depends on the number of players, so the prices for various goods on Russian and European servers can differ significantly. So, for example, Wild Blood is on Russian-language servers on average from 48-52 gold, and on European 70-75 gold. Also, many are attracted to the European servers by the presence of more friendly players and at times less abuse in the chat. Most of the Russian-speaking players settled on the Outland PvP server.

But also, almost all other European servers have Russian-speaking players. Some have created guilds, but most either join English-speaking guilds or play solo. You can find more detailed information about Russian-speaking guilds on European servers on the official forum of the game, in the topic "European game worlds". Whether or not to play in European English (or other languages) is yours.

I just state the fact that if you know English or, say, French well enough to communicate freely with players, or your goal, on the contrary, is to tighten up foreign languages, then, yes, European servers are your choice. Also, European servers will be useful to those who wish to trade at the auction with greater profit, while spending the same amount of time or even less on the game.

The choice of the type of the game world PvP or PvE has almost no effect on the gameplay. Many people make the mistake of thinking that only PvP players play on PvP worlds and there are only PvP guilds. Alas, this is not the case. And all the difference between these types of game servers lies only in the fact that in the first version you can be attacked by players of the opposite faction in the open world, but not in the second.

If, nevertheless, your choice fell on the Russian-language servers, then we will begin to disassemble them, so to speak, "bit by bit." First of all, I would like to talk about servers in general.

In terms of population, three PvP servers are in the top three: Soul Flayer, Gordunni and Howling Fjord. The population of Russian-speaking, as well as European resources, you can always look at wowprogress.

But I tried to make the article more objective, so absolutely all servers are present in it. Both popular and not so popular. In this text, the servers are presented alphabetically. I deliberately excluded some servers from the list, as there is nothing remarkable on them.

Azuregos- this PvE server does not have the best guilds in World of Warcraft, or there are no players who have collected all the achievements. But this server is worth mentioning only because the players of this server have incredible perseverance. So, almost a year ago, a player named Loik spoke out that he could get One million Apexis Crystals. And he succeeded, and even more. He was able to get hold of three million in less than one year. The best progression guild for the Alliance on the server is Ryze, and the best progression guild for the Horde is Resolve. 70% of the server are representatives of the Alliance. If you want to play specifically for the Horde and at the same time have good progress, then you should not start on this server.

Borean tundra- This PvE server is known all over the world primarily for the Metatrosh player from the Adamantan guild for the Alliance. Known for the fact that for four years in a row he was able to make all the achievements in the game. The server is also dominated by the Alliance, but not as much as on Azuregose... The best guilds to progress for the Alliance are Adamantan, and for the Horde, Hjørvard.

For which he was awarded a special poster with signatures from the developers.

Eternal Song is the home of all RP players. Yes, undoubtedly, there are RP guilds on other servers, but it was on Eternal Song that most of them settled. It should also be noted that this is a PvE server and RP guilds are present for both the Horde and the Alliance. And in more detail you can read about them, as well as get imbued with "their spirit" on a special role-playing resource. The PVE server is also dominated by the Alliance, which must be said twice more than the Horde players. And although the server is considered to be a primordial haven for roleplayers, everything is in order with the progress on the server, so the Ingenium guild for the Alliance is in the TOP 15 best guilds of Russian-language servers. And for the Horde, the Midas guild is not far behind. Therefore, you can safely choose both the Horde and the Alliance here without fear for your progress.

Galakrond- And again another PVE server, this time the forces of the Horde and the Alliance are almost equally distributed here. Which cannot but rejoice. But if you want progress, then this is perhaps one of the worst servers. You can only highlight the guilds Crusade for the Alliance and Nemesis for the Horde. And the population of the server is quite small.

Goldrinn- This PVE server is also dominated by the Alliance. And in terms of progress, the best guild for the Alliance is considered the Whirlwind of Claws from the Horde, this is Black Iris. Lovers of progress will also be disappointed with this server.

Gordunni is a PvP server dominated by the Alliance. But even in such a difficult situation, the Horde is not only able to survive, but also to give a serious rebuff to the players of the Alliance. Since there is a very strong guild for the Horde on the server, Echelon. And their eternal rival is the FARTOVYE guild. I would also like to note that there are two players at once on the server who have reached the limit of all achievements in the game.

The best progressing guild for the Alliance is the Black Lotus, and none for the Horde. Alas, the server does not have a guild with progress (more precisely, there is one that killed 1 boss in the DAC of the Age), but such a weak progress is hardly worth mentioning in this article. There is almost no global PvP, as there are almost no representatives of the Horde. Therefore, it is not worth advising to start playing here for the Horde or for the sake of world PVP, and even more so for the sake of progress. But if you want good online and good progress for the Alliance with many guilds, definitely yes.

Thunder- this PVP world is the most sparsely populated of all existing Russian speakers. Although the balance of the factions of the Horde and the Alliance on it is ideal 50 to 50. In terms of progress, I would like to highlight the guild for the Alliance Four Factorials and for the Steel Phoenix Horde. This server can be recommended both for world PVP and for those who are looking for progress for a particular faction. As you can see, the fact that the server is the most sparsely populated does not bother its inhabitants in any way.

Dragonmore- the fourth most populated server. Here, as well as on many others, the Alliance dominates. PVE server and therefore the world PVP is not developed here. With all this, the guilds for the Horde are ahead of the guilds of the Alliance in terms of progress. So for the Horde it is TT gaming, and for the Alliance the Bulwark of Light. Decent PVE server for a measured game.

The Lich King- and again on our list is a PVP server with a low population. With all this, there is more Horde (not much, but still) than the Alliance. This server hosts a guild for the Cancer Gaming Horde, which is in the TOP-5 of the best guilds of Russian-language servers. Guilds for the Alliance are very far behind in progress on this server. And you can only highlight that the Wild Hammer. If you want to play the Alliance and at the same time have good progress, then you should not start on this server.

Pirate bay- on this PvP server, the Horde is in full control. The best guild for the Horde here is Dawn, and for the Alliance Dragon Heart. If you want to play the Alliance and at the same time have good progress, then you should not start on this server. If you still chose the Alliance, then get ready to kill you often and mercilessly.

Razuviy is a PvP server and is known for hosting the best rated guild for the Alliance. Guild "Bi Negative" occupies the 43rd position in the world, but the first among the Russian-speaking guilds for the Alliance. The Alliance also dominates here. Alas, the guilds of the Horde here are clearly not as skillful as on other servers, and only the Dream of Mind is the best. If you want to play Horde and at the same time have good progress, then you should not start on this server.

Howling Fjord- PvP server, it is interesting first of all because there is a guild for the Horde called "Exorsus", which is the best among the Russian guilds, and also occupies the third place in the world in terms of progress. Unlike Gordunni, this server is dominated by the Horde. If you want to play the Alliance and at the same time have good progress, then you should not start on this server. If you still chose the Alliance, then get ready to kill you often and mercilessly.

Soulflayer- PvP server that is included in population ahead of even Howling Fjord... This server is also wholly owned by the Horde. And it is not surprising that the Fusion guild is located on it, which occupies an honorable third place among the guilds of Russian-language servers. Like it was on Gordunni for the Alliance and Howling Fjord for the Horde. There is also no progress guild for the opposite faction. If you want to play the Alliance and at the same time have good progress, then you should not start on this server. If you still chose the Alliance, then get ready to kill you often and mercilessly.

Guardian of death- This PvP has a faction balance. This means that the server is ideal for fans of world PvP. In addition, there is a guild for the Energizer Horde on the server, which is in the TOP-10 of the best guilds in Russian-language servers and the Depot guild for the Alliance. This server can be recommended both for world PVP and for those who are looking for progress for a particular faction.

Black scar is Alliance-dominated PvP. It is not difficult to guess that the representatives of the Alliance will be the best here. Vipe on thrash - which occupy an honorable 9th place in the TOP-10 of Russian-speaking guilds. But unlike other PvP servers where one of the factions dominates, here the Horde is not lagging behind and also shows good results. This is the Wrath of the Horde guild. This server can be recommended both for world PVP and for those who are looking for progress for a particular faction. But still there is much more Alliance here.

Ashenvale- and again the PvP server, here, just like on Gordunni, a large number of Siberians and Far Easterners play, but unlike Gordunni, they play here for the Horde. These are Taiga, Double Bottom, East Wind and many others. For the Alliance, alas, there were no guilds with progress.

Let's summarize:

    If you want a good online and many guilds then these are: Soul Flayer, Gordunni and Howling Fjord.
    If you are looking for the guilds of the Far East and Siberians, then these are: Gordunni and Ashenvale.
    If you are looking for good progress for the Alliance then these are: Gordunni and Black Scar.
    If you are looking for good progress on the Horde then these are: Howling Fjord and Ashenvale.
    If you are looking for global PvP these are: Thunder, Deathguard and Black Scar.
    If you're looking for RP this is: Eternal Song.
If you did not find your server or your guild in the list, do not despair or be offended. Perhaps it is you or your guild in the future that will be able to show your best side in order to be remembered by other players or the entire community as a whole. And remember that we (the players) are the ones who create the history of the game. Go for it, and you will succeed. I hope this article helped you at least a little with such a difficult choice of a game server.

Seven years ago, when I first started this blog, one of the pivotal series was the beginner's blog. Then the game was localized into Russian and the number of new players was large. Now, analyzing the statistics, I saw that the question of choosing a server is still relevant. Despite the decrease in the number of subscribers, there are still new players. The same applies to other materials. Therefore, it was decided to update the cycle for the realities of today, especially since in the game mechanics over the past seven years, there have also been cardinal changes. So let's go.

Pirate or official server?

First, decide on which server to play - official or pirated. Consider the pros and cons of both options.

Pirate servers WoW

The advantage of a pirate server is that it is free. The second plus is less important for newbies, but it is worth mentioning nonetheless. Over the past ten years, World of Warcraft has changed dramatically. In fact, there are six versions of the game - in terms of the number of add-ons - and the seventh is on its way, that is, World of Warcraft: Legion. The differences relate to both content and game mechanics. I will not list them, I will only say that, for example, in the original WoW there were only two continents, and in Warlords of Draenor there are six of them. Therefore, if you want to play that WoW, which is considered a classic, you can do it only on any of the pirate servers.

By the way, blog statistics show that the game's version of patch 3.3.5, the last one in the Wrath of the Lich King add-on, is popular.

The disadvantages include the fact that most of the pirates are crooked and bogged. Broken quests, bosses and mobs with crooked abilities and the like. Online servers, that is, the number of players living there is not too large, and this is a critical moment for an MMO. However, there are also quite decent pirates. For example, I have only positive impressions about the classic server version 1.12.1 Nostalrius. There are few bugs, there are a lot of people - I myself have seen 7000+ people online. As a result, a rather active gaming life.

Another disadvantage is that the pirate WoW server may be shut down by Blizzard. Actually, this is what happened with Nostalrius - Blizzard lawyers forced the hoster to close the shop. What does this mean for the player? Your characters will no longer be available to you. All that you will have is good memory and screenshots. So keep that in mind.

World of Warcraft Official Servers

Now about the offservers. The disadvantage here is conditional - you have to pay for the game. However, after the introduction of tokens, the game can be paid for with in-game currency. True, do not hope that you will be able to farm for a token in a new character in the starting location. Otherwise, only pluses in the form of a normally working game, a developed community and constant updates. And by the way, now you can play for free on an offserver up to level 20 and with some restrictions.

A little more basic concepts and history regarding servers. WoW came out more than ten years ago and at that time a comfortable online game could be provided by a limited number of players. Therefore, several dozen copies of Azeroth were created, in which several thousand people could be simultaneously located. As the popularity of the game grew, this number grew and grew to several hundred.

The original structure of the official servers assumed isolation from each other. The servers were not connected in any way. The first cross-server communication dates back to the original version when cross-server battlegrounds were introduced. On them, players were selected from different servers. Patch 3.3 introduced a cross-server system for building a group into five-person instances. In patch 4.3, raids began to gather in the same way. At the beginning of the Mists of Pandaria expansion, players from different realms began to gather in open locations. The trend continued and the latest content patch for this add-on introduced Connected Realms technology. This technology allows players from sparsely populated realms to share auctions, be members of guilds, and go to raids of the highest difficulty together.

In other words, the game has evolved in the direction of blurring the boundaries between servers. However, the boundaries are not yet completely erased and the choice of the game world affects the comfortable game.

Servers were also different in that they had different rules for the players. The main difference was the regulation of relations between players. So, in PvP realms, it was possible to attack a player of the opposite faction unrestrictedly. On PvE realms, this could not be done unless the player had the PvP flag raised. In addition, a subtype of servers was identified - RP, that is, role-playing, where players had to follow additional rules regarding roleplay. Thus, RP-PvE and RP-PvP servers appeared.

Choosing an official WoW server

Now at the choice of a specific server. Four factors influence the choice of "place of registration":

  • the official language of the server;
  • server type;
  • population and ratio of fractions;
  • PvE progress (or raid progress).

Let's go through each item separately.

Server official language

There are several large WoW server segments: North American (NA), European (EU), Korean (KR), Chinese (CN), and Taiwanese (TW). For players from our region, the EU "bookmark" is suitable. You can, of course, play in American, but the time difference will play a negative role. There are about two hundred European servers and, accordingly, the official languages there are those that are widely used in Europe: English, German, Spanish, French, Russian.

Until the fall of 2014, Russian account holders could not play on European servers (although Euro account holders could do it). From the moment of release until October 2014, RuVoV was a kind of ghetto. This is not the case now, and it doesn't matter what account you have. True, you won't be able to play with the American one either.

Which to choose? If you are fluent in English, then I would recommend a European server. At one time, I started on the European server Moonglade-RP-PvE and met a lot of different people from different countries. In addition, the original language of WoW is English, so you better immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the game. If the English is not very good, then, of course, it is better to go to the Russian-language server. Now the game has sixteen official Russian servers.

However, here you shouldn't forget about one small detail. Be careful when purchasing a game. For example, on Amazon, the new World of Warcraft Legion add-on costs about $ 50. In the Blizzard shop, it costs 1999r, which is much cheaper at the current rate. It's the same with payment.

Server type

This has already been mentioned above, but it does not hurt to repeat it once again:

  • PvP - players are allowed to attack each other in any open location;
  • PvE - an attack on a player is possible only if his PvP flag is raised;
  • PvPRP - Role-playing PvP server;
  • RP - role-playing PvE server;

Server population and faction ratio

The more players there are on the server, the more active the game is. More guilds, more fun chatting, more active trading at the auction. The disadvantages include only the queues in the game after additions and the release of new content patches.

The second parameter is the ratio of factions, Alliance and Horde. Players of opposite factions cannot be members of the same guild or even communicate with each other. Until recently, faction auctions were also split. And if the faction was represented by a smaller number of players, then the prices at the auction were lower, and the assortment was narrower. Now this is not so critical, because the auctions of the factions have been united.

What to choose? Definitely, you should not choose sparsely populated servers, including those that are merged with others (Connected Realms, united servers).

Server raid progress

Server raid progress is another key parameter that will determine the quality of group play and the nature of communication. Servers with high progress are usually heavily populated and have a higher percentage of hardcore players. The latter seriously affects the relationship between the players. If you go to play on such a server, then be prepared for tough communication. It's like coming to "conquer the capital" in real life. I speak from my own experience, because I spent more than a year and a half on the top server. Of course, not everything is so bad and you can find a friendly guild here, but be prepared.

Speaking about RuVoV's top servers, it is worth mentioning informal “capitals”. These include the Gordunni and Soul Flayer servers. They consistently occupy places in the top twenty EU servers and are notable for factional imbalances. Gordunni is occupied by Alliance players, while the other is occupied by the Horde. The fact that formally they are PvP servers adds piquancy, but swinging on such servers for the minority faction was a real extreme. However, the crossserver killed this exclusivity in many ways.

On the other hand, realms with low progress will not give an interesting game in raids. It is possible that you will find good guys and a tube atmosphere, but you will have to wipe often in high difficulty raids.

What are the conclusions? Choose servers in the first hundred of raid progress according to the version of the site wowprogress.com. On such a server, the probability of finding a company of handy guys with an adequate perception of the game is higher than on the top.

Actually, this is all you need to know at first.

And play on a full-fledged official one. There are the following types of servers:

It would seem that this is where the benefits end, but no! Another important advantage of the free option is the ability to “go back in time”. And, perhaps, even I would not mind playing at least a little on this, in order to once again plunge into the atmosphere of vanilla. But they have much more disadvantages:

  • Instability, when every evening, with an influx of people, the world can fall and lie for an unknown amount of time. On the off, however, this also happens and there are many afterwards, but in any case, if you fall, you will not roll back your progress a week ago.
  • Slow update - waiting for a new patch to appear on them is almost unrealistic. After all, you need to emulate it, write spell scripts and so on.
  • Donation is one of the most terrible scourges of freeshards, which discourages the desire to play on them. Yes, he needs to subsist on something, so players who pay money get advantages. But in such a situation, any balance is lost, especially in. Although ... if you remember the purchase of gladiatorial items / dragons / titles, then the off is also filled with donation =)

The list can be endless, because I myself played pirate for a long time due to problems with the Internet and the banal inability to get the box. But I don't think pirates are that bad. After all, if there were no emulators, how could dataminers like Boubouille with an mmo-champion delight us with the excavation of new data?

Addons like WotLK were installed on home servers long before the official version was released. But how pleasant it is to run around new locations alone is difficult to judge.

Therefore, if you still cannot afford to play on the official world for any reason, I recommend that you adhere to the following tips when choosing:

  • Find out about the version (original, BC, WotLK) and the version of the patch on it. This will help you navigate the selection of the desired alternative.
  • Read the rules to make sure that within a couple of weeks you will not be charged semi-voluntarily for the game.
  • Choose the option with suitable rates. Many free WoW servers offer rates from x1 to x1000 and even higher. Rate denotes the speed of pumping, so if you are not interested, but only in PvP, then you can safely choose large rates.
  • Get to know the audience better. Even large servos can rarely be compared to the official ones in terms of the number of players and online. Therefore, you should immediately get to know the population in order to be able to get in and out.
  • Think about switching to off =). Believe me, this is an incomparable pleasure! This is especially felt after standing in line for an hour to enter the game world.
