Beaches in Dobra Voda

Dobra Voda is a small village, and you can get from any point to the beach in literally 10 minutes. This is far from the most visited resort in the country, which has a beneficial effect on the cleanliness of its water and coastal areas.

The only downside is that a significant part of the resort rises above the highway. Some beach areas require steep roads to get to. This is not very convenient for tourists with small children.

On the southern outskirts of the resort lies the Great Piece Beach. It stretches 298 m along the coast. The surface is dominated by small pebbles, with sandy areas occurring in some places.

The beach is equipped with umbrellas and sun loungers. For the convenience of vacationers, toilet stalls, showers and changing rooms are installed on its territory.

Yachts regularly depart from the shore, gathering vacationers for boat trips. In the evening on the beach you can sit at the bar and enjoy live music.

A little further north there is a wild beach called Maly Piesak. It is covered with stones and strewn with pebbles in places. Like the Great Piece, this beach is considered a protected protected area. It has a gentle slope into the sea and crystal clear water.

5 km from the village there is a wonderful Utekha beach. You need to get to it along the chassis. Between the road and the beach lies a beautiful olive grove, filled with the wonderful smell of fragrant trees.

Joy is rightfully considered one of the best beaches throughout the Bar Riviera. It was labeled " Blue flag" - an international award, which testifies to its cleanliness, well-groomed, comfortable and safe.

Uteha Beach stretches 800 m along the coast. Its entire surface is covered with small pebbles white. Distinctive feature The beach now has a huge number of springs with fresh crystal water. They all flow into the sea. From the shore you can see how the waters shimmer and sparkle in the light.

Wellness in Dobra Voda

The village is surrounded on all sides by vegetation: olive trees, centuries-old oaks, exotic flowers. The air at the Dobra Voda resort is saturated with mountain aromas, essential oils and microparticles of sea water.

All this has a positive effect on asthmatics, who often come here to improve their health. Holidays at the resort are recommended for people who have problems with cardiovascular system, respiratory tract and skin.

In the village of Dobra Voda there is a spacious observation deck located between two tunnels. It offers a wonderful view of the sea and coastal zone. There is parking nearby.

The local embankment is great for afternoon and evening walks. On its territory there are many souvenir shops and shops with attributes for a beach holiday.

There are numerous cafes and restaurants on the embankment. With the arrival of summer, nightclubs open here, where young people often gather.

Almost everyone who vacations at the Dobra Voda resort tries the local wine and fish, which is sold right off the coast. You can also watch local fishermen at work.

I know that many people think that Montenegro is all mountains. Nothing like this! Here, by the way, there are 73 kilometers of the purest, one might even say pristine beaches with amazingly clean sea water and the Dobra Voda resort is no exception.

I would like to warn you right away that this is a small village in which there are no modern five-star hotels and corresponding paraphernalia. Accommodation here is rented from local residents, but in general, ideally, this is a place for those who like to live in a tent on the shore of a gentle sea. There are two magnificent beaches Great Piesak and Small Piesak. Their special difference is clear water with a turquoise tint.

If you suddenly want to taste the fruits of civilization, then it’s nearby, literally 7 km away. The city of Bar is located (Bar is the name of the city and not what you thought).

There are not many restaurants and other entertainment establishments on the resort territory, but of those that exist, I would like to highlight the XXL restaurant, which has delicious fish dishes and wonderful local wine.

HOLIDAY PRICES:

How much does a holiday in Dobra-Voda cost? August 2016.

tour cost

We flew to Montenegro from Moscow. We had a rest for a whole month. Citizens of the Russian Federation do not require a visa; they are allowed to stay in Montenegro for up to 90 days. We lived with friends, so we didn’t have to pay rent. Plane tickets were booked through the aviasales website; for two people it cost 46,000 rubles (round trip). Having arrived at the airport in Tivat, we decided to get to our vacation spot by bus, because this way it is much more profitable than using a taxi. From Tivat airport to Dobra Voda is about 60 km, so a bus trip for two costs 19 euros, while a taxi would cost 50 euros.

Prices for excursions are not high. Sightseeing tour of all the monasteries of Montenegro, incl. visiting the most holiest places, such as Ostrog Monastery, Cetinje Monastery, etc. costs 40 euros per person. A boat trip from Dobra Voda to Budva costs 10 euros per person. However, after reading the price list, we decided that using the services of Rentacar would be much more profitable. A day of car rental costs 35 euros. We rented a car for 2 days in Bar. On the first day we visited southern part coast of Montenegro, namely Ulcinj, Old city Ulcinj, city beach, Great Sand beach, Ada-Bojana river, after which we went to the coast of Lake Skadar. This path lay through mountain peaks and beautiful mountain villages. The next day we visited the Ostrog Monastery, the city of Cetinje, Mount Lovcen, on which the Njegus Mausoleum is located, then the city of Budva. Thus, the price for the car and gasoline was only 90 euros for two days.

Food and products

Prices in cafes have become more expensive compared to previous years. Non-alcoholic drinks cost 1-1.5 euros, a glass of beer - 1.5 euros, coffee - 2 euros, national Chorba soup - 2.5 euros, a Meshano Meso dish, which includes 400 grams of meat and a portion of fries - 7 euros. The portions are very large, so we took one Meshano Meso for two. A check for two people averages 14 euros. Prices in stores are approximately the same as in Moscow. Example: a huge loaf of bread - 0.6 euros, milk - 1.6 euros, tomatoes - 0.6 euros, peaches - 0.8 euros, meat - 2.5 euros kg, a bottle of Vanac wine 2.5-5 euros. Eating on your own is cheaper than visiting restaurants and cafes every day. These products were purchased at the Voli supermarket. Basically, prices in markets are the same.

Souvenirs and other goods

Clothes prices are encouraging again. Branded clothing from Italy can be bought much cheaper than in Moscow, especially during the discount period that takes place in Montenegro in the fall. T-shirts and shirts cost an average of 10-15 euros. During the discount period, a leather jacket from Italy can be bought for 25-30 euros. Souvenirs cost 1-3 euros.

Cost of services and entertainment

Car rental is 35 euros per day, taxi fare is 1 euro per 1 km, you can negotiate cheaper with private individuals, even at the price of a bus. A bus from Bar to Budva costs 4 euros per person.

Total money spent on vacation

Thanks to this, the resort is considered one of best places in Montenegro for the treatment and prevention of diseases of the respiratory tract, lungs and heart.

Business card

The main reasons why tourists come to the village of Dobra-Voda are pure water, healing air, gentle sun, comfortable climate, and the main attractions of the resort are picturesque nature, beautiful mountains and marine species, romantic sunrises and sunsets.

Beaches

The village of Dobra Voda is located on the Adriatic coast in Montenegro, there are two main beaches: Bolshaya and Maly Piesak, which differ in size. Both beaches are pebble, so the water here is really “good” - clean, transparent, with a beautiful turquoise tint; The entrance to the sea is gentle. The beaches are equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable and pleasant stay: sun loungers, umbrellas, changing rooms and showers; there are cafes, bars, souvenir shops and supermarkets around.

Entertainment and active recreation

Dobra Voda is a small village where only a thousand people live. You won't find any lively ones here shopping centers, luxury restaurants and hotels, almost absent night life- this is a place for those who seek solitude and a relaxing time away from big cities. But if you still want to be closer to “civilization” or explore local attractions, you can go to the neighboring cities of Bar, Ulcinj or Budva, there are excellent transport links between them. For these purposes, you can also rent a car (cost 30-40 euros per day). A boat trip off the coast of Dobra Voda will also be unforgettable.

Where to stay

In Dobra Voda in Montenegro there are many places that will temporarily become a second home for every tourist: not only hotels and mini-hotels, but also villas, apartments, and even apartments of local residents. You can choose a place either on the first coastline or a little further from the sea. Those who like to relax as “savages” also stay in Dobra Voda and prefer living in a tent to hotels.

Dobra Voda is a very popular resort in Montenegro, located on the coast, near the town of Bar. About 1,200 people permanently live in the village of Dobra Voda.

Just a few decades ago, no one knew about this village, but then the 21st century came, the Yugoslav wars became a thing of the past and tourism began to develop rapidly in the country. But not only tourism influenced the economy of the region; there was a real estate boom in Montenegro.

Foreigners, primarily Russians and the British, bought all the real estate, despite the fact that prices in that period were at least twice as high as now. The real estate boom ended after a few years, but some settlements, including Dobra Voda, managed to greatly increase in size, since Montenegrin and foreign investors during the boom invested a lot of money in the construction of residential buildings.

In general, we can say that the village owes its current appearance to the boom in the real estate market, which lasted until the 2008 crisis. By the way, they still buy in our time, although buyers have become smarter, and they study documents and no one pays huge prices like before. Over the past ten years, prices in the real estate market have been stable, neither rising nor falling.

As in most other small resorts, in Dobra Voda you will not find fashionable night discos and large quantity hotels. But there will be significantly fewer tourists in the village than in . And also, there is much less noise in Dobra Voda. The fact is that the main source of noise in the resorts of Montenegro is the infrastructure designed to serve tourists, amusement parks, nightclubs, restaurants, casinos. In all these establishments music is played, sometimes quite loudly.

In the village of Dobra Voda there is less of all this, and therefore less noise. At the same time, you shouldn’t think that this is some kind of godforsaken village; everything you need for a holiday in Dobra Voda is present. Yes, there will be less of this than, say, in the Bar. But, if you think about it, do you care whether there are 20 restaurants at the resort or 200? You are going to Montenegro on vacation, and not to taste dishes in maximum quantity restaurants.

There are supermarkets, shops, and restaurants in this resort, and in sufficient quantities. You may have to go shopping in Bar, but only if you need “serious” shopping. For example, it is better to buy clothes in Bar or Podgorica, where there is more choice and there are brand stores. You can buy “regular goods” at any of the supermarkets in Dobra Voda. Well, in general, something like this: everything you need is on sale in the village every day.

I believe that the village of Dobra Voda can be considered as a good option for a holiday in Montenegro. The overwhelming majority of tourists who vacationed in this village are satisfied.

Montenegro has two international airports, in Tivat and Podgorica. Dobra Voda is a little closer to the airport in Podgorica, but the difference in kilometers is not big, so buy a plane ticket to where it is cheaper. You can see prices for air tickets in the form below.

How to get there from the airport:

  • Order.
  • , it will be delivered to you directly to the airport.
  • You can go by bus. But keep in mind that buses do not go to airports; first you need to take a taxi or walk to the bus station.
  • Taxi services are offered at the airport, but the prices are greatly inflated, and I believe that this is the most NOT profitable option for you.
