The operating temperature of inverter air conditioners in the “cooling” mode is from -10 to +45, in the “heating” mode - from -15 to +24. Non-inverter units will operate for “cooling” - from +21 to +43, for “heating” - from -5 to +24. As for window models, the permissible temperature for “cooling” is from +18 to +45, “heating” is from -3 to +24 (outdoor temperature is indicated). Another mode that misleads some users is auto mode. This is the automatic maintenance of a given indoor air temperature, regardless of the outdoor temperature. This mode is convenient for users who frequently use the air conditioner.

In this case, the user sets the desired air temperature and the air conditioner itself selects the mode in which the air conditioner will operate for cooling or heating. The only thing that needs to be taken into account when purchasing or using an air conditioner in this mode is minimum temperature outside air, in which the air conditioner can operate for heating.

There is another function of the air conditioner that few people pay attention to. Self-cleaning function. When the air conditioner operates, as we already know, moisture (condensation) forms on the heat exchanger of the indoor unit for cooling. After the air conditioner is turned off, moisture remains on the surface of the heat exchanger and is an excellent breeding ground for the proliferation of microbes. Subsequent turning on of the air conditioner leads to the saturation of the air passing through the heat exchanger with these microbes and its entry into the room. With each switch off/on, the number of microbes increases several times. The self-cleaning mode after turning off the air conditioner does not turn off the fan of the indoor unit. It still works (rotates) for some time and cleans the heat exchanger of any remaining moisture on the surface of the heat exchanger. The absence of a wet surface prevents the formation of microbes. SLEEP - The mode is used during sleep to create favorable conditions. In this mode, the temperature changes over 6-8 hours, gradually increasing or decreasing the air temperature by 1 degree in order not to overcool or overheat a sleeping person. If the air conditioner works for heating, then the temperature increases, if for cooling, it drops. Also, in night mode, the noise of the air conditioner is reduced by reducing the fan speed.

SWING - Using this mode, you can fix or change the position of the split system blinds. Thanks to this mode, the air is distributed evenly throughout the room. Some remote controls display the movement of the blinds.

AUTORESTART - This mode is not indicated on the control panel, but its presence is very important. This program is triggered in the event of an unexpected power outage, automatically resuming the operation of the air conditioner in the specified mode when electricity appears again.
