In an interview with SE, Kudryashov spoke about the upcoming fight, champion ambitions and the meeting between Alexander Povetkin and Anthony Joshua.

GETTING READY WITH A NEW COACH

- Congratulations on having a date and an opponent. A month and a half before the fight, where and with whom will you train?

I started preparing back in mid-July with a new coach - Andrei Ivichuk. We have known each other for a long time, I do not feel that I have changed the team. We have a great relationship, so there was no grinding stage. He is a good guy and a competent specialist. He understands what I need now and does not give me exactly this, without some supernatural things. We will prepare in Moscow, and before the battle I will fly to Kemerovo, where the battle will take place.

- What are you planning to work on in particular?

It would be wrong to disclose these details before the fight. We are working on what I am missing in the ring.

- What do you know about your opponent?

This is a Romanian boxer with a good record. We haven't analyzed it in detail yet, now I can say that this is a normal, strong opponent.

- How do you view this fight?

As a professional, every fight is serious and important. I'm not saying that this is a fight for the championship title, that this is the biggest fight of my career, but I take it as seriously as possible. I need to win it.

BOXING IN KEMEROVO PROPOSED BY DROZD

- Why was Kemerovo chosen as the city?

Because one of the organizers is my friend Grigory Drozd (who is now a member of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Kemerovo Region on health protection, ecology and the development of sports. - Approx. "SE"). He asked if I wanted to box in September in Kemerovo. I said yes and we got started.

A week after your fight, Alexander Povetkin will fight Anthony Joshua. Was there an opportunity to perform on the same show with him?

The fact is that we had planned a fight with Zhur even before Alexander's fight was announced. Therefore, there was not even talk of my opportunity to speak on the undercard.

- What do you expect from Povetkin's fight with Joshua? What are Alexander's chances?

This will be the biggest fight for Alexander in his career. Like all his comrades, I hope to win, but I understand that Joshua is the most difficult opponent. But there is a chance, Anthony is not from another galaxy, he is the same person. If he starts to fight Povetkin in the open, Sasha has a great chance to end everything in his favor. We know how Povetkin will box, and Joshua is always different: sometimes he is careful, and sometimes he is aggressive. How it will turn out - now it is impossible to say. Not many people on the planet will be able to accurately guess the outcome of the battle, but I will, of course, root for Alexander.

I WANT A REVANGE WITH A DRESS

After losing to Durodola, you insisted on revenge with him and played it. Are you interested in revenge with Dorticos and how real is it?

Of course, I have an interest in revenge. But I understand that now it will not be attractive either financially or from any other point of view. This situation may change in the future. I really want revenge and hope that it will take place.

Promoter Vladimir Khryunov said the World Super Series (WBSS) plans to host a cruiserweight tournament again next year. Maxim Vlasov may become one of its participants. Have you heard of such plans?

I have not heard any confirmed information about this, but there are many rumors. I would not speak about it seriously now. Who will boxer? There is Vlasov, there are a few good guys besides those who were in this season, but fights should be attractive to spectators, this is business. Fights are not arranged just like that, they must be profitable, famous people must participate in them, so I have little faith that there will be a cruiser competition for the second year in a row.

Are you currently setting yourself long-term goals, for example, to become a world champion, or do you prefer to move from fight to fight?

My goal remains the same, I want to become the world champion.

The ringing nickname of this 29-year-old boxer from the city of Volgodonsk, Rostov Region is "Kuvalda". And this is perhaps true, because out of 16 fights fought by this fighter in professional boxing, at 16 he won and - exclusively by knockout. In amateur boxing, Dmitry had more than 150 fights, in 138 of which he won.

With a height of 189 cm, this fighter has a combat weight of 89-91 kg and belongs, accordingly, to the first heavy weight category.

In amateur boxing Dmitry Kudryashov became the winner of the "Spartak Cup", but in professional boxing he is the champion of the CIS and Slavic countries (2012) according to the WBC in the first heavy weight, the world champion (2013) GBU and, finally, the international champion (2014) in version of the WBA.

Dmitry Kudryashov, master of sports in boxing and hand-to-hand fighting, was born on October 26, 1985 in Volgodonsk.

He began to play sports at the age of 8.

At first it was a karate section. And at the age of 13, the teenager switched to boxing - Dima began to train at the Olympus sports club with coach Nikolai Timofeev. A little later, in parallel with boxing, the young man also mastered hand-to-hand combat.

Even in his youth, Dmitry repeatedly became the winner of city and then regional competitions and championships. For about four years he represented the Trudovye Rezervy society at them.

In 2008, Dmitry Kudryashov was drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces, but he did not give up sports. Already in 2010, the fighter fulfilled the standards of a master of sports in hand-to-hand combat. Speaking at the beginning of 2011 at the VII All-Russian "A" class "Spartak Cup" tournament in Krasnodar, the boxer won a gold medal, for which he was awarded the title of master of sports in boxing. So Dmitry Kudryashov became the only two-time master of sports in his native Volgodonsk.

Often, at competitions of a higher level, the bias of the judges, alas, prevented Dmitry from becoming a winner - unfortunately, it happened so. This is what experts consider the reason that so far this, undoubtedly, a talented and promising fighter, has not reached great heights.

In amateur boxing "Kuvalda" had 150 fights, after which he decided to test his strength in the professional ring.

His first professional fight took place in 2011. Already in the 3rd round, he won a knockout victory over Alexander Okhrey (Ukraine). Dmitry Kudryashov continued to win early victories in the following fights, only a year later having won his first title in professional boxing.

October 2012 brought "Kuvalda" victory over Isroil Kurbonov (Uzbekistan) and, accordingly, the vacant belt of the CIS and Slavic countries champion in the first heavyweight according to the WBC version. Having successfully defended him in 2013, Dmitry Kudryashov knocked out Prince George Akrong (Ghana) and became the world champion - albeit not the most prestigious version of UBO, but still! In October of the same year - another champion title according to the GBU version. The rival, however, this time was much more serious - Sean Cox (Barbados), who was a contender for the prestigious WBA championship title. His "Sledgehammer" knocked out already in the 2nd round.

In 2014, the boxer successfully defended his WBC championship belt, defeating Lubos Sudu (Czech Republic), Ivica Bachurin (Croatia), Julian Ilie (Romania) and the contender for the title of WBC super heavyweight champion, long-term champion in this version in the first heavyweight champion Juan Carlos Gomez (Cuba). In just 19 seconds, the Volgodonets knocked out the famous fugitive from Cuba, at the same time winning the WBA international champion title.

The honorary citizen of Volgodonsk Dmitry Kudryashov manages to combine his sports career with work in the security service of the Rostov NPP, raise his daughter, and get carried away with history and hockey. Today, this puncher is on the 6th line in the world rankings according to the WBA and WBC versions, as well as on the 12th line - according to the IBF version.

2015 began with the first successful defense of the WBA International title, the fight took place at the Luzhniki arena, the challenger was the Puerto Rican Francisco Palacios, a fast, very agile athlete.

Palacios' team relied on a long fight, the expectation was that the boxer's speed qualities would bring the desired result, but already in the middle of the first round Dmitry made a strong blow to the body in the liver area with a transfer to the head, the most powerful left side hit Francisco's temple, after what he could not continue the fight, it was the seventeenth victory in a row by knockout.

The next fight took place in May 2015, the arena in Luzhniki was filled with fans of the Russian Hammer. The contender was Vikapita Meroro, the fight took place at an average pace, but already in the sixth round, Kudryashova's sledgehammer reached its goal, a blow with the front hand on the liver was decisive in this fight, and again a knockout to the delight of the public.

On November 4, 2015, a fight for the vacant WBC Silver title took place in Kazan. Dmitry met with 35-year-old native of Nigeria, Olanrevaju Durodolu. The fight began without reconnaissance, Duradola immediately rushed into the attack, inflicting the strongest series of punches, while he did not notice the left hook from Dmitry, for a second it seemed that the boxer would not be able to continue the fight, but the Nigerian showed unprecedented stamina, he began the second round working as the first number.

Dmitry was pulled up to the ropes, after a long series of punches, the referee stopped the fight, this was the first defeat of a promising Russian who has every reason to get revenge and continue his victorious career in the professional ring.

On December 3, 2016, within the framework of the Denis Lebedev - Murat Gassiev boxing evening in Moscow, Dmitry Kudryashov won the vacant WBC title for the second time and this is already the 20th professional fight in Russia, this time Santander Silgado (27- 3-0), whom he knocked out in 1 minute of the fight.

The long-awaited meeting of Dmitry with the Nigerian took place on June 3, 2017, long preparation and analysis of mistakes made the Russian move more actively on his feet, as well as build clear defensive actions, including in every possible way to leave the corners and not be pressed with his back to the ropes of the ring. In the ring, both boxers demonstrated excellent perseverance and will to win, the hail of heavy blows from the very beginning showed how decisive both fighters are. Durodola boxed in his usual manner, sharpening his attacks with each defensive action of Dmitry, but this was not enough, already in the 4th round he was knocked down, in other words, in the 5th round, the fall onto the canvas of the ring was repeated. Kudryashov, in turn, skillfully worked on the floors, accentuating his attacks in the area of ​​the opponent's liver, after a series of successful attacks in the 4th and 5th rounds, it seemed his opponent would not be able to rise, but the fight was continued until the referee intervened. The result is the victory of "Sledgehammer" by TKO in the 5th round, the successful defense of the WBC Silver title, and the vacant place of the mandatory contender for the fight with the WBC world champion in the first heavyweight division.

The felling did not work out

Before the fight, many understood that Dmitry would be opposed by an opponent superior in class and experience. Kudryashov was not considered a favorite, but there was hope for his most powerful blow, and considerable. However, the Russian did not succeed in delivering this blow: Dorticos did not give the slightest chance.

Already in the first round, the Cuban showed who is the boss in the ring. He methodically rattled Dmitry from a long distance, and he himself almost did not allow the Russian to hit him. Rather, Kudryashov hit, but most often hit on defense. At the same time, Dmitry took all the blows of the opponent with his head, without even trying to dodge them.

As you know, legs are Kudryashov's weak point. In the ring, he is inactive, almost does not maneuver, he always walks straight, and for a technical boxer, which is Dorticos, this opponent's style is a real gift. Cubans are extremely literate boxers, their school is not just considered one of the best in the world.

Another step towards victory, albeit a dirty one, was made by Dorticos in the last second of the first round. Together with the gong, he hit the Russian on the head, he brushed it off, after which the Cuban struck again. This action probably had a specific goal - to annoy the opponent and make him attack, forgetting about defense.

In the interval between the first and second rounds, Kudryashov looked a little confused. He was the same after the opening round in a fight with Nigerian Olanrewaju Durodola in the fall of 2015, when he suffered the first defeat in his career. In the second round, it was necessary to improve significantly, but, as then, the opponent added.

From the first moments of the second three minutes, Dorticos went ahead, began throwing not deuces, but a series of 5-6 punches, Kudryashov continued to take everything upon himself and soon found himself pinched by the ropes. Everything could have ended even then, but Dmitry held out for about a minute. He got out of the pressure for a while, but very quickly fell under it again. Dorticos was very active and successful in the second round. In a minute and a half, he threw out about 40 hits, half of which reached the goal. Dmitry responded with 15 strikes, of which only four were accurate. And they did not make any impression on Junier.

In the middle of the second round, Kudryashov missed another combination of two consecutive right hooks from Dorticos. The second of them hit Dmitry exactly in the cheekbone. The giant from Volgodonsk, nicknamed the Russian sledgehammer, folded up and fell back on the ring flooring. With an absolutely lost face, he began to rise, he managed to do it up to the count of 10, but he continued to stagger, and the judge made the only correct decision - to stop the fight. Dmitry, alas, suffered a second defeat, again by knockout in the second round.

“There were chances, of course. Both guys are pronounced knockers, whoever hits first ends the fight. The first hit was Dorticos, it was a good and solid hit. I cannot judge what Kudryashov did wrong, let the coaching team answer this question. We understood that this fight would end with a knockout in one direction or another, it is obvious that this would be the first half of the fight, "said the head of the World of Boxing company after the fight.

Kudryashov himself on Instagram apologized to the fans: “Thank you all for your support. I apologize for not living up to your hopes or living up to it! But I was already falling and getting up. His disappointment is understandable, but the words about good preparation raise certain questions. Doubts about this arose after he failed to make weight the first time. The day before the fight, the scales under it showed an extra 200 grams. Kudryashov shaved his head and on the second attempt kept within the weight, but it's strange that it came to this at all.

The fight with Dorticos showed that Kudryashov's boxing, alas, falls short of the top level. Dmitry really has a good shot, but in battles with technical and trained fighters, it is not so easy to convey it to the goal. Kudryashov did not succeed for the second time. Defense and footwork have remained at the same level, and without them it is extremely difficult to claim world titles.

It's safe to say that the 31-year-old Russian will return to the ring. This will most likely happen in the spring of 2018. Obviously, he will not immediately go out to the championship fight, he will have to go through several rating fights in order to gain confidence and regain lost positions in boxing organizations. Ryabinsky has repeatedly promised that he will make Kudryashov the world champion, but the promoter himself cannot enter the ring for him. Dmitry needs to work on almost all the components in order to reach the level necessary for large belts.

Dorticos confirmed his class and reached the semi-finals of the super series. There, his rival will be the winner of the fight between Murat Gassiev and the Pole Krzysztof Volodarchik, which will take place on October 21. The Cuban himself has already expressed a desire to scalp another Russian.

He constantly traveled to the three provinces entrusted to him; he was meticulous in his duties, strict to the point of cruelty with his subordinates, and he himself went to the smallest details of the case. Princess Marya had already ceased to take mathematics lessons from her father, and only in the morning, accompanied by a nurse, with little Prince Nikolai (as his grandfather called him) entered his father's study when he was at home. Chest Prince Nikolai lived with the nurse and nanny Savishna in the half of the late princess, and Princess Marya spent most of the day in the nursery, replacing, as best she could, her mother for her little nephew. M lle Bourienne, too, seemed to be passionately in love with the boy, and Princess Mary, often depriving herself, yielded to her friend the pleasure of nursing the little angel (as she called her nephew) and playing with him.
At the altar of the Lysogorsk church there was a chapel over the grave of the little princess, and a marble monument brought from Italy was erected in the chapel depicting an angel spreading his wings and preparing to rise to heaven. The angel's upper lip was slightly raised, as if he was about to smile, and once Prince Andrey and Princess Marya, leaving the chapel, confessed to each other that it was strange, the face of this angel reminded them of the face of the deceased. But what was even stranger, and what Prince Andrew did not tell his sister, was that in the expression that the artist accidentally gave to the face of an angel, Prince Andrew read the same words of meek reproach that he read then on the face of his dead wife: “Oh, why did you do this to me? ... "
Soon after the return of Prince Andrey, the old prince separated his son and gave him Bogucharovo, a large estate located 40 miles from the Bald Mountains. Partly because of the difficult memories associated with Bald Hills, partly because Prince Andrey did not always feel able to endure his father's character, partly because he needed solitude, Prince Andrey took advantage of Bogucharov, built there and spent most of time.
Prince Andrew, after the Austerlitz campaign, firmly decided never to serve again in military service; and when the war began, and everyone had to serve, he, in order to get rid of active service, took a position under the command of his father in collecting the militia. The old prince and his son seemed to have changed roles after the 1805 campaign. The old prince, excited by activity, expected all the best from this campaign; Prince Andrew, on the contrary, not participating in the war and secretly regretting that, saw one bad thing.
On February 26, 1807, the old prince left for the district. Prince Andrew, as for the most part during his father's absences, remained in Bald Hills. Little Nikolushka was unwell for the 4th day. The coachmen who drove the old prince returned from the city and brought papers and letters to Prince Andrei.
The valet with letters, not finding the young prince in his study, walked halfway through Princess Marya; but he was not there either. The valet was told that the prince had gone to the nursery.
“Please, your Excellency, Petrusha has come with the papers,” said one of the girls of the nanny’s assistants, addressing Prince Andrei, who was sitting on a small children's chair and, with trembling hands, frowning, dripped medicine from a bottle into a glass half filled with water.
- What's happened? - he said angrily, and inadvertently trembling with his hand, poured an extra amount of drops from the glass into the glass. He threw the medicine out of the glass on the floor and again asked for water. The girl handed it to him.
In the room there was a cot, two chests, two armchairs, a table and a children's table and a high chair, the one on which Prince Andrey was sitting. The windows were hung, and a single candle burned on the table, filled with a bound music book so that no light fell on the crib.
“My friend,” Princess Marya said, addressing her brother from the crib she was standing at, “it's better to wait ... after ...
“Oh, please, you’re still talking nonsense, you’ve been waiting for everything, so you’ve waited,” said Prince Andrei in an embittered whisper, apparently wanting to prick his sister.
